check out www.downeyoff-road.com and
www.advanceadapters.com there are also alot of other websites but those are where I got alot of the stuff to do my swap on my old 4runner also there is alot of tech websites out there, just search for toyota forum websites and you will get alot of feedback or I can send you a list of sites if you want

I'd try gearing down before spending 5 times as much and 10 times the hassle of an engine swap. Most people don't realize what a major role gears play, it should make a night and day difference. To each his own though.
