Default Well thats just effing lovely!

After a shitty day at work and the monsoon that has been brought upon us, I came out to my car only to find one of the great lakes deposited itself on my passenger floor. Luckily The ECU wasnt damaged, at least I dont think it was.( it drove home fine and everything)

I cant figure out where the leak came from but its most assuredly there. There are no signs of drippage just a fucking puddle on the floor.

Got to love it.

Rear hatch leak->backseat->floor? Check that possibility if nothing else comes up. The hatches like to leak. They leak under the trim at the base of the glass, they leak through the grommet for the rear wiper, they leak through the weatherstripping, they leak through/into the taillights... and when they leak they can leak enough to flood the car all the way to the front.

Hrm, I never checked the backseat... Ill take a look. Its already pretty dry in the front, I just used 4 towels and soaked it up. Its the first time its ever done it and the car sits outside in the rain all the time. Im hoping I just left the door cracked open a bit or something...

Well there was definetely water on the backseat floor. So I guess that means that the rear hatch seals are leaking somewhere?

Ill take a look later today... Where can I find the replacement for them?

I think they may have been discontinued. You can try calling JNZ and if that doesn't work, random Mitsu dealerships around the country to find one that has one left over, I guess. The packaging on mine was old and crusty when I got it a year or two ago, and I know I read that at least one of the seals was discontinued.
