Does anyone know if this is true? I read somewhere that Dodge is discontinuing the Srt and making the Caliber instead.

yep, the neon is dead, and the crappy caliber is slated to take its place...however the caliber will have an SRT4 version...not that its worth it in a car thats going to be even heavier than the porky SRT4

I'll personally wait till the Challenger comes out, of if they ever made the Razor, that would be the best option

stopped making all 2g neons back in september and as of november DCX has gone into slight rebate on remaining srt4s and full fledged rebates on remaining neons

What I don't understand is I read somewhere that the srt4 Caliber will only have 170 hp??? I would think with the 2.4T it would have the same 230???

Actually the 2.4 non turbo Caliber RT will have 170hp. The SRT version will have 200+ no doubt.

I must have read the article wrong or maybe the way it was written it was on the internet so we know how that goes.

That's the R/T version, the SRT is from what I've read beef'd up to 270.

You guys keep syaing you're gonna wait for the challenger but if some of you could barely rub 2 nickles together to get financed on $22k how the hell are you gonna be able to afford $40k which is what the Challenger is gonna be priced at (w/ 6.1 hemi). Hmmmm $24k for the Caliber SRT or $40k for the Challenger? :dunno:

Oh no... I need to get one while their still out there. I was wondering why I couldn't look up any new ones. I don't know but this was a bad decision on Dodge's part. Ending up having problems (major) with the Eclipse and I've been looking at getting an SRT-4 for awhile so I need to jump in getting one asap.

If u got money like that why not just buy a viper, or something along those lines.
