IIRC, theyre 6.5s and 4x6s. Have fun replacing your radio, because youll be dropping a bunch of cash on bypasses, since your factory radio controls a bunch of shit in all GM vehicles 01-up. As far as power output from the factory radio...shitty, and its going to be hard to find exact wattage specs, but its not really meant to power anything besides your stock speakers.

What are you looking to get, whats your budget, have you heard anything you like, etc.

:| by far not all GM vehicles have integrated radio controls. I have a 03 grand prix a 02 buick regal and a 04 Grand prix in my family all of which have aftermarket radios which had no other equipment tied into them. The 04 did have the stock amplifier and 8 speaker system but anyone with some common sense can wire into it ;)

if you have standard ACdelco speakers they are rated ar 8watts RMS

You are definitely correct, not all. My bad. Im biased against GM vehicles and get carried away. Sorry, nothing personal. :)

Obituary, go out to your truck and listen for the door chime. If it comes out of the front door speaker, you need bypass stuffs. If it comes out of the dash, you are golden with just a harness.

Or, grab a few diodes, 330 ohm resistors, two 500ma relays and make it yourself!

Huh? There's a door chime module and there's also an onstar/door chime module which allows you to keep both. These modules also provide a switched accessory lead (red wire)...which is not available on the stock harness.

you can with the standard harness, but you will loose on-star - have to run seperate acc to fuse box for power on some models
