Hey,
I just moved to Gainesville from New Port Richey, and I was just wondering how the Gainesville Raceway worked. For example, what are good days to go and just see some 1/4 action, what special events (I know gatornationals) etc...

Any information would be appreciated!

Their Tech is as serious as they come. They are very strict. They follow the NHRA tech very closely while other tracks just don't really car at all. Also on Test & Tune days be there early since they usually only have one guy there to Tech.

what about just viewing some 1/4 action, when is it open for public to come and run their cars, and what are good days to view it?

lol, i have been to the website. They dont say, "ya lots of people show up on friday and saturday nights from about 7-10 to run their cars" which is what i was looking for.

Matt, My guess is that if you show up at the gate with cash in your hand, on any given fri/sat night, you will be welcomed with open arms!-Bob
