OK this is for a friend. I need someone to work on his srt4 for him. Its an 04 with a gt3071r turbo (i think). The car wont hit boost. Its like 24/7 fuel cut. its on stock boost or around 10-12 pounds. Is there anyone in the tampa area that can work on it?

Sorry if i dont know what im talking about. If it doesnt have VTECH im lost :mullet:

The car as of now has. The big turbo gt3071r.... external wastegate...hks ssq... like 3 or 4 inch downpipe. No fuel mods, or anything else. When he 1st got the car it ran fine with the same mods, pulled ok, but you could tell it needed fuel. Now you cant even give it w.o.t even when its not in boost

its the stupid map clamp on a guess(this is why I dont use them), either that or the map sensor itself, but it could be a ton of other things...map clamp/map sensor issue is what it sounds like to me

hes coil went bad. Is he still on the stock coil? Im in spring hill my self, i could give him my stock one to seee if thats what it is. If thats not a good buddy of mine could take a look at it and fix it. He'll charge u but it wont be much. Hes been to all the big auto schools and works at a pretty high class dealer. Hes the only one ill let work on my srt.

Boost leak,Intercooler piping..Check all the vacuum lines.

Derek,Tell him to check to Green vacuum line running to the back of the turbo also,That was my problem for the longest time.

Does he still have all the lines hooked up ?

Delete the solenoids 1/2/3 on top of the INtake box etc . He needs to get an FC and tach adapter or something if he doesnt wanna blow the damn thing up ...

I recomend :

Return Line with FPR
AFC or DTEC
Walbro 255
Stage 2 Injectors or larger

....buy a kit and without any supporting mods...IF he has ruined something yet i'm suprised...fuel cut isnt exactly a good thing.
