like it says, share your thoughts about the day, the drivers, and how it was run. i think it was a good day, even though team 15/oki style was all tired since we got little to no sleep, and had many car problems on the way i was really surprised at how much people had progressed since last time i had seen them drive. i have to give props to my man vang though for doing well the whole day with a completely stock ka, adam for scaring me with his pimp car, mike for scaring a fat kid into giving him 200 dollars lol, andy for pulling a ranjo and not caring and of course for being a madman, ben for constantly wanting me to drive his shitty car home because he was too tired, bill for...well playing tag with rob's bumper, basically all of night monkey for being badass, that guy with the orange and white corolla for having the balls to show up with that car, jamess for looking like a pimp wearing her sunglasses and smoking a cig while driving through the parking lot, and me for having a stomach ache the entire day, and still managed to use the words whore, chank, and bitch repeatedly throughout the day. and if i forget to mention you it just means your too good, or that was when i was passed out on the blacktop.

waving flags is tiring.
and people need to pay better attention to flags.
checker doesnt mean 4 more laps.

aside from that everything went awesome.
minus rob and andy hitting the wall. bad day for black s14's.

ya, i loved hitting that bank+3rd gear... only got it once and then i switched from 225s in rear to 205s cuz the 225s were destroyed.... it was soo touchy in banks i couldnt do it, too fast and the tires were sheitty. Hope i have better tires next time. I pulled a few badASS lines in the infield, which only 50% of the people even use (wtf, its the challenge!).......but essentially this was the first time even driving my car past 3000rpm, not to mention a turbo car in general, i am very happy. Hitting the bank or my last run where I finally got 2 straigh laps on the flat oval comboed- those are tied for my favorite moments.

The turnout for this event was great. The amount of people attending was perfect. Anymore would be troubling, any less would not support the event, what we had was perfect.
Sucks that we didnt get any sleep and having car problems made it worse.
Attendance ticket prices were $8. I didnt mind paying that much because i know majority of it is going to keep that track open and making improvements of the track.

~OSW has a big ass field at the front. I'd say they pave a good size of it for autoxing, or gymkhana. It also sets a good "playground" for the drift beginners to mess around in. And also provide them with water to water down the track if they want it wet. They could use that pave for parking or something when theres no events.

m not sure, but i think the plan is to pave the infield of the track for more room/autox/gymkhana stuff.
rob would be the one to ask about that. (drumfunken)

i like OSW, especailly when robs so close to my ass i can hear his car over mine heheheh. had a great time with only a couple minor problems. defitely saw soem people improving, but i also saw some cars that weren't even running right and shouldn't have been out there. it was a bad day for black s14's, which sucks. thanks to XAT, Driven Concepts, Z Fever and everyoen else that helped me get to the event.

I missed Rob crashing his black S14. I saw Andy with his though. I enjoyed seeing many people getting greater. Bill just wow, you were up there with JRs level yesterday. Keep on doing it like you did. Vang great job mixing up the course. Night Monkeys are friendly cool guys. All the guys from CFP were a great help today. It was really awesome to see JR out there. I've been watching the guy in videos since '03, and man to see him in person was just great. I want to see more pics/videos. The only thing I think needs to be used more is the infield.

bill was awesome, but just to clear it up, jr was driving other peoples cars, so im sure he wasnt pushing as hard as bill.

JR was that one guy that won at that D1 event, right?
Pineapple was having orgasms as he slid around admiring his skills. It was cool to see him drive, and yeah, he got skills. He was driving a blk S14, and i thought it was Andy because I know andy is really good too.

WOW, thats badass man, i couldnt seem to stick it but i think i was entering into it a little slow, and it was causing problems cuz the front couldnt keep up with the rear. but i didnt wanna push it being so new to the car, so i gave up and concentrated on the flats + infield a lot.
at the end of the day i did very well imo. i loved the feeling of having power finally! gimmie 1 or 2 more events i should awesome, jstu need to find a godo source of tires...

thanks to all that came out and supported and/or helped

i know there was quite a few of you, and rob (drumfunken) appreciates it

for those that decided to make the dirt road entry their personal drift playground, the track staff is not happy about it and is going to give us as a community a bad reputation.

thanks for all those who tipped the enjuku tire changing - as you know mike's car was totalled as of last week and the funds were appreciated.

so many people are getting soooooooo good out there, its getting even more enjoyable to watch for the spectators even when the demo group isnt out there. congrats.

boxmod, like i said at the track - car looked fucking good man for it's first time out. you definately have the chassis, now get some nice tires and more experience with power.

good job everyone, lets make it 3 good turnouts in a row w/ just as awesome attendance in Feb!

like i said, that car was a waste of money. Terrible set-up.
Who really expects to break traction in the rear when the rear wheel width is 12" wider than the front?

I loved the event, as I did the first one. I'd like to thank steve for letting me buy his spot 2days before the event. I hope he gets his car out there next time, that's a bummer that it blew up on him. Everyone was great, everyone was nice, awesome event, got a lotta good pointers from JR, he might have convinced me to go to huston to try out for FD. If there's anything I can do to help mikey out with the building of his new car, someone lemme know, he's an awesome guy, hooked me up with stuff/helped me out more times than I can count. Really sucks about his car... and I can't wait to see his next one ripping it up in the next few months. Thanks all, awesome event, I may go to the next one if I don't go to huston!!

so this wasmy first drift thing EVER and it was badass, you guys are awesome i drove out from brandon, it was worth it all, i will definitaly be at the next one. MY favorite part was when i got to ride with Rob, that was wicked, i was in the one when he ripped off the bumper, the second run. you know what its like when you are waiting for a roller coaster to start, thats what staging was like, props to him, that was simply amazing, i know i sound like a stupid noob, but i left that place with a HUGE smile on your face, BTW how hard would it be to make a 1990 prelude RWD with an H22, i know it sounds bad, but wouldn't that be sweet? sorry
thanks for the awesome event
peace

who does that? lol

aphxero
01-22-2006, 11:35 PM
I do.

If my car was 5 speed I'd have been there. I know I know blah blah "well sucio drifted AT etc" or "I could have come out to show support" There's plenty of excuses I could have made to go. If I don't make $ then project is never done. I guess it's time to hunker down and start working 90+ hours a week.

Needless to say. 5 Speed coming SOONER!

But seriously, I heard all about it from multiple sources. I won't be missing another even if I'm not a driver. Congrats to everyone who had fun/learned stuff. Which by all indications is everyone :)

glad you had a good time man, as long as she keeps running ill be giving people rides! I never knew how it felt till i rode with Harry from Ter-Tech, and i was like "son of a bitch were close to the wall...this is awesome!" so i def know how u feel.

big props to everyone who came out and put on a good show today. id personally like to thank:

Rob from shift-lock for resolving difference, having a great event, and being a good sport from the morning where he threw JR the keys to getting towed back into the pits. good job man.

JR for coming by and being the florida neck that he is

Bill for giving me something to chase around the track

Jameseses, you rocked!

Teddy and Mike from the shop, tire service with a smile!

Mark, Jerm, and everyone else who was taking pics and vids, i appreciate it and sorry i dont say it more often.

and to my boss, for yet again trusting me with the race car, semi truck, and every other piece of collateral he owns :)

Ive been doing this for a long time now guys, and I never thought Id be proud of our scene like I am now. Our sport locally has been plauged by ego battles, drama, and internet hardassing for too long. We're gaining momentum in Florida finally, with a set schedule of events, some competitions, and a growing community. Drivers are getting better, cars are getting better, and we're all getting more seat time.

For everyone still holding onto past accolades, car build dreams, or grudges, get over it. Bring what you have, run what you brung, and leave the keyboard at home.

oh, and NO ANTS FOR 2006!!! ( waves some peace signs and gets the fuck back into the rig and heads home). thanks everyone!
