Just to let you know that this might be long... *Cliff notes at the bottom*

Here it goes. I was driving to work today on my bike. yeah its a little cold but I like that. I work on us 19 in between 22nd ave and 38th. I was cruzing about 55- 60, there was little traffic. So I pull in to work and take my helmet off and put it at my desk, then go back out side to pull the ATV's out. There come's a cop flying into our parking lot with no light flashing or sirens going off. He ask's a sales man if a bike came threw here and he says no. Well to come find out he was looking for me. So he leaves and comes back 10 mins later, touching and feling my bike (to see if it is warm) I then ask him what he is doing and if he had any questions. Well then he ask if that is my bike and I say yes. He then told me to give him my license now. I then ask why, and he says that if I dont he will put hand cuffs on me and take me to jail.
So I did and then I ask why he needs it. He then says he was trying to catch me sense 54th ave ( I stoped at two light in between there and my work) I then asked why he never turned on is light or sirens. He didnt have an answer for that.( I also never seen him behind me the whole time) He then said that I was being pulled over for SPEEDING. So I give him all my info and he takes his time running it all, then he gets out of his car and gets into my face. (I could lick is eyeball he was so close) I then ask why he is so mad, he then tells me that I am a punk kid on a fast bike and that I should go to jail. Insted he gives me a notice to appear in court and gave me a ticket for "violation of a speed limit sign". A FVCKING SPEED LIMIT SIGN! I do admit that I was speeding but I was only doing 55 in a 45. Come on!

So now I have to go to court and fight this shit!

Should I call internal affairs and file a formal complaint towards the officer?

Riding my bike to work
Pull my bike into work, go inside and come back out
Cop fly's in with no lights or sirens
Cop touching my bike
I ask if he has any questions
Demands my license
He gets in my face
Calls me a punk kid on a fast bike
Gives me a notice to appear in court
Writes me a ticket for not following speed limit signs!

he lost site of you he cant give you a ticket, it will be thrown out ...

 

i swear, there are 2 kinds of people in this world i hate, nazi's, and cops... i do believe there are good cops out there, but most are punks who think they are above the law.

Dickhead cop, it will most likely get thrown out.. Probably some new cop with god syndrome..

 

god complex plain and simple......


good luck fighting it, get a good lawyer. but even if its thrown out your the one getting fucked over some bullshit. its still going to cost you money and time off work.

 

Def fight it, did he have you on a radar? If he has no radar number, he can't prove you were speeding, esp when he showed up at your work way after the fact. Just rediculous the time these assholes take to go out of thier way to make sportbike riders (more than others) miserable. Good Luck.

 

What an asshole cop. It'll probably get thrown out and he'll get made fun off by members of his squad.
