But I hate Tennessee and Florida!!
Seriously, NC is beautiful, houses are nice, people know how to drive. Then the long road back, mountains became hills, hills became fields, people started to drove like SHIIIIIIT!! Welcome back to shitty florida. :(
oooh yah, don't play in yellow snow on Mt. Roan!!!

I love NC. TN isn't bad either, since most of the Dragon is in that state. The cops there suck though.

Definitely alot more opportunity to test out suby power! lol...I had to take my car to a shop on the first day to jack it the hell up, lowered Florida car = broken in NC car.
I thought about heading to Fontana one of the days I was there but decided against it since up in the mountains the roads got icy/snowy in parts and the dragon has waaaay too many turns to deal with that.
I had almost spun out on the turn in the second pic at 20 mph. Ice doesnt fuck around, I'm just glad i knew what to do sideways in order to get it straight again! Even going only 20 mph, the car came around very fast, it was weird.

Great pics (except the one that looks like you're peeing in it), mountains and snow are so much more interesting than FL. That's probably cause I don't live up there though (they probably think sun and water are more interesting).

Great pics! I have the best of both, a house here in Tampa and Blowing Rock, NC. Driving the BlueRidge Parkway is a real treat and the side rides are even better (fewer cops).

That's awesome. We are seriously considering property out there in the somwhat near future. i was very surprised by how well priced the real estate was. 170k up there can go a whole lot further than down here.

I love the shots of the trees covered in ice.
I was looking at some of the "frozen tree" (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5949.jpg) shots I took in Nov 2004 and came across this one (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5971.jpg). My car looks so... Sad. That was before the suspension, new spoiler, roof vent, bigger hood scoop, even before the harnesses (which were purchased in Jan 2005 as a result of that trip).
Some cool pics from that trip:
Stream back in the woods (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5968.jpg)
More (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5950.jpg) frozen (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5951.jpg) trees
Imagine bombing down this type of road (http://mystic-lights.net/kmgardner/images/uploaded/dragon_11_2004/IMG_5963.jpg) then coming to that bridge? No guardrails! :-o
Always a good time. Glad you had fun up there!

IMO Cherohala > t3h Dragon. I like the fast sweepers better. Plus, you can go pretty damn fast (100+) if you want to be aggressive.
