I finally got it running good at Sunshine last night. On the small shot it went 5.28 @ 132. I'll be adding some more nitrous to it and hopefully dipping into the 4's. The car drives like a Cadillac down the track :crack: This was in the 68 Camaro:

I should be out there this Wednesday. I had a problem with my battery last week, but that should be resolved this weekend.

The converter was destroyed and the stall was wrong. It's was a bolt together Neil Chance, so it was only $275 to fix it.

You should bring it to Lakeland track sometime....I dont think a car out here has ever ran in the 4's..That would be awesome.

Is that track any good? Some people say that track is horrible, others say it's not too bad.

It all depends on how they fell like prepping the track that night ..Sometime's its good sometime's it horriable..Thats proablly the reason I have not seen any 4 sec cars out there:lol:

I live in Tarpon but I don't have a shop up there.

Umm..there's been a ton of cars in the 4s at Lakeland. The reason there aren't more is b/c the track is so damn short that you have to be on the brakes HARD to make the last turn, esp. with a heavier car.

I must just go on the wrong night..I live like 2mile's from the track and go every thursday..The fast cars must go on Saturday. But yea the slowdown at the end of the track is pretty short..

We were able to get a 3100lb car to make the last turn (but barely) with cheap Aerospace brakes, single parachute - 153mph pass.
We used to take a 3000lb car..don't remember what kind of brakes, single parachute, ran 5.11 @ 144. That car had no problem at all stopping. (and it was a total piece of shit)

They have a new manager at Lakeland now. He's doing a pretty good job from what I hear about prepping the track....
Couple rotaries went 4's during PR.vs.USA

Rotary cars barely weigh more than a pair of my shoes.
Hence why they run 5's with half the HP
