View Full Version : '05 Katana loses to '02 Z28

I was out driving my friend's '02 Z28 tonight. Nothing special, just exhaust and intake, and automatic. Raced my buddy on his '05 Suzuki Katana from 35mph. He only gained no more than 2 car lengths on me initially but at about 100mph I started catching up and passed him at about 145 (and climbing). I didn't just eek past him, I pretty much walked him when I passed him and just kept getting more and more distance on him.

Yeah, it was only a Katana... But it's still a bike vs. stock Camaro and I enjoyed beating a bike while in a car. :) Just wait till we get his procharger (that's sitting in his bedroom right now) on the bitch.

I definately believe you cause even though they'll top out at like 180 there's just no grunt up there around 100 and above.

I have never seen a R6 top at 180mph! You may have seen the speedo say 180mph but your not doing 180mph.R6 real top speed is like 150-160mph..katana would be lucky to hit 100mph,LMAO...

The top speed on a r6 is gonna be somewhere around 170.

Top speed on an R6 <2005 is 162 mph, the speedo reads 10% too fast.

Turbo would be nice, and i would have liked to get one, but the procharger kit is tried and true.
