I know a few of you have been to Alpha pit across from the Ocala Speedway before. Well the Leaseholder Stavola Farms finally decided to close it today.

Thats pretty F'd up if people knew for certain the pit was going to be posted and didnt let on...

Yes...It is closed...posted signs and a foreman from stavola telling people not to come back. I havent been by personally but met a few people today that were warned away. Dont go to the pits.

Good job to all that pestered stavola with offers to buy or lease and drawing so much attention that they finally closed it. You tried it the "right" way, rocking the boat so much the boat tipped over and the gator ate your a**.

That sucks. I had heard about that place and was thinking of goin up there.

found out today that Bravo Pit is also closed :mad: Guess its off to TN if I wanna do anymore rock crawling. :roll:

They've closed alot of the pits in the Ocala Forest. Most of this started from a guy who stubbed his toe while riding his quad out there barefooted. Or at least that's what I've been told.

Alpha pit may not be closed for long.. Some people were frequenting the pit too much.. I don't think we have seen the end of alpha..

heard a kid died out there 5 months ago after wrecking his atv, if its true, we've seen the end of alpha.

yes, that is true, however, i know a few people that still go quite frequently. there is nothin blockin it off, and they have not had prolems even though its "closed" i still wont be goin out there til its reopened. and i can guarentee it'll be reopened within 3 months.
