is it worth building a D16A6?
is it worth building a D16A6?
ok, im planning on swapping a D16A6 into a 88-91 Civic sedan. im not lookin to be the nastiest thing out, some TR members have set the bar a little too high for me. is that motor worth building? what are the pros and cons? i know the results will be more appreciative in a crx due to its weight, but im dead set on a sedan. im pretty much an amature, but will have some help from some well respected people. i figure build the single cam then take the "lessons learned" and swap maybe a b16 or go ls/b20 vtec in the future. nitrous will be a factor. i know the total of build the motor will tally over the cost of a B16 swap, but i guess im just looking to gain the experience, or should i just start on a swap? hit me back with some opinions. thanks Shayne.

the SOHC guys will tell you yes and most B series guys will tell you no. its all about what you want to do. Get info on both platforms and work from there.

you can put a small turbo set up on it, and it would make decent power for a non vtec d. The a6 is a pretty good engine

i hear all the time that the a6 is a "trooper" and haldles spray like a champ. with a custom turbo kit (built right), will it be too much power for the wee single cam?
