I got a 63 lincoln with a 430 and noticed some smoke coming from under the hood and the car has been idling rough lately, so i pop the hood and oil is coming out from the bottom of the oil cap and is going into the air cleaner and the air filter was covered in oil and so was the carb. What could cause this? im stumped....

can you post a pic? my car will pull oil threw the PVC valve if there isn't a baffle under the intake.
your oil cap on the valve cover or on the intake? there should be a filter in the oil cap i would think that would stop the oil from getting pulled threw. you could try a new oil cap.

no the oil cap has a hose that goes to the air cleaner, it doesnt have a pcv valve or anything like that. im thinking some of the oil passages are clogged from it sitting for so long and the oil isnt flowing to the bottom fast enough and is pooling in the head. so when i get on it the access oil is getting blown out the breather into the air cleaner....

That should be a breather hose, I have one on my 351C Ford motor. It goes from like the neck of the oil filler into the air cleaner, right?

only one way to find out, pull the valve cover.
i know you wheren't talking about a pcv valve. i was talking about my cars pcv valve pulling oil. most valve covers have a baffle under the cap. i looked at friends 430 the other day. he had caps on both valve covers but only one had a hose. check both valve covers for a baffle under the cap. maybe someone put the covers on the wrong sides. there needs to be a baffle under the cap to block the oil splash from going up the hose.
do you have a pcv valve on the car? i would check it to make sure it's working. that would make more pressure out the valve cover cap
