Default head unit

ok i just installed a new headunit, and like 2 minutes after its on it gets really hot...like too hot to touch in the back of the unit where the harness connects. i intalled a HU a while back and the damn thing actually started smokin, the only unit that will work without getting too hot is the stock unit...does anyone know why aftermarket units get so burning hot? are there bare wires touch somewhere or something...help me out if you knoww

Default

speaker wires are of wrong impedance, cross connected wires, short in output cable, defective headunit, overvoltage(unlikely), undervoltage(should blow a fuse or shut the HU down first)

you best bet is to disconnect the speaker cables.
