Cavy> vs. 96-98 Cobra.

So I am heading south on 49th street and I am about to stop on red light on 54th AveN, and I see this White Cobra like 96-98ish, with some beefy tires on the back.
Well I am not fully stopped and the light turns green, so I put it in 2nd and I wasn't gonna just smash the gas and pass him as certain folks do, but I drove up next to him.

Now I saw he squeezed 1st and 2nd pretty quick so I knew he wanted to get up to speed sooner so we can play.
Here is the moment of truth!
I was in 3rd at about 50mph, door to door with him, his girlfriend smiles a little and so does he and he hits it.
You hear the V-8 ROAR!!, pulls a fender on me, I hit is TURBO SPOOLS, and ROAR STOPS!!!
So from about 50 to 85mph I put a solid car on him if not more. So who is smiling now??? All of the sudden he hits the brakes and makes a U-turn, that is what they all do I am keep on going toward 38th Ave.

:lmao: I am around 9th Ave and 58 st all the time all the way up to 38th and even 49th street and 86th av. Man I am all over the place all the time.
If you are driving behind me you will not see anything and it will NOT catch your eye.
The back is stock, no exhaust in the back tho, bowtie, and jacked up like stock.
Now if you are going in different direction you will see front bumper, FMIC and Carbon hood, lowered with some rims.
Kinda hard to miss if you ask me.

Anyways, thanks for the props, I love when the girl smiles thinking, Oh, my boyfriend is about to put a hurting on you and then I am the one doing the spanking.
That is why my girl is not allowed any kinda of expressions if I am racing someone, cause you might win you might lose.

Thanks, mofo and Cavy is ok, I guess what makes it stand out is that in the end it is ONLY A Cavalier. :wink: Still not fast enough for me of course like everybody here in pursuit of being faster.

I just jammed a set of SRT-4 spark plugs in my motor today and it seems to like the interfactory bonding. For real on those plugs. They fit.

I think I saw your car at the last rice night (1320 at bmp). black cavy with no bumper on slicks? you bogged hard on the launch but it scooted down the track pretty well. I think you ran a low 13 on that pass.. it was the only one I saw. Nice kill.

Yea, guilty as charged, I went to the 1320 because there were some fellas from out of town coming down here with J bodies so we kinda met up overthere.
I wasn't planning on running since they don't use the water, so I walk up and see water and stuff, and asked on of the guys what happened? He said some guy just walked up and put water down on the track.
Right away I slapped on the slicks and yes the 1st run I bogged very bad.
I ran a 13.001 with a 2.4 hook, I forgot to adjust the S-AFC. It was horrible, also the light got to me, it always kinda suprise me, I hate it.

Second run I got the RPM's where I wanted them, and didn't care for the light, launched the car and got a pretty good hook 1.91.
The car put up a 12.420 at 110mph and some change.
When it was hotter I was hooking 1.70's but that was then, and the motor suffered from heat, now that the motor likes the cold weather I cannot hook as good.
You can never have the best of both.:lol:

MeanmachineSC, I have worked at Advance, yes, about 1 1/2 ago, it has been a while, so if that is what you mean then it is me, if you have seen it there recently then it ain't mine. It is ok quick car, revealing numbers suck kinda takes away of suprise when you get beat by a Cavy.
Kcinsparks, it has a FMIC cause it is Turbo, it is the most efficient way up to date to cool off the sir charge from Turbo to the motor. :wink:
