New starter and new wires from the battery to the relay, relay to starter, and block to ground, and she runs. I'm actually impressed that an engine with 5 year old gas and 5 year old oil fired up without even a full revolution on the starter. That 351 Cleveland is a tuff mofo!

Too bad she's offensively loud without a full exhaust manifold on the passenger side otherwise I'd take her down to the detail shop tomorrow. That didn't stop me from taking her down the block though. I'm so white trash. :mullet:

I also took all the seats out and washed them with the hose. Tomorrow I'm gonna yank the carpet, shampoo it, and mop out the floorpans since they're undoubtedly filthy. Should have that car looking pretty good come the weekend and running as soon as I get a manifold! I'm excited!

They're V2 heads. Not sure if it has an LSD in the back or not yet. Gonna have to pass on Wendys, I have no passenger side exhaust manifold still. I'll die on fumes before I get to Wendy's.

My brother in law pick up a 351C 71 Mustang in 2000 that had 1988 tags on it. He cleaned the contacts inside the dist. cap, poured a little fuel in the carb and it fired right up. Gotta love american iron.

Yup. This 351C didn't even get that. I sprayed some starter fluid in the carb, and it cranked right up. I was amazed.

The 350 I have in my Camaro sat on a stand for 5 years. All I did was drop the pan, put some new gaskets in it, and it fired right up too. Gotta love it!

Awesome. Are you going to pull out the carpet insulation too? I did because mine stunk sooooo bad and was half missing. I should put new back in but never did. Besides, it can add weight and you don't want to do that to a "race car"

I actually just pulled the seats, so while they were out, I sprayed the whole inside down with this carpet cleaner. It got the whole thing pretty much spotless, so I took a little lysol to the stink and threw the seats back in. It looks pretty fucking good inside!

stop running it with out an exhaust manifold or headder on it. you are going to crack a valve.
