well i heard they put a SPECIAL chemical in the paint which makes smooother, so there for less drag......

BTW , I think the main reason it started was most of the Orange SRT's that came out were bottle fed and pretty quick . I always use to tell other SRT owners my cars was stock and freight train them and they would give me some weak arse excuse about tunning their front mount ...

Let me just say i happen to own an orange one, and I have never been beaten by another srt 4, yes never, I don`t remember racing any either but let the record show that my orange srt has never been beaten by any other making it the fastest color there is. :roll:

Thier's no difference in any colors on SRT-4. It's just a statement they made up on thier own.

When dodge decided to make the 2004 srt4, they needed 1 color that would stand out. So they decided to choose this guy named John Datson, but didnt check his history for drug related charges.. So he came up with the crazy color and it was to late to pull them all back.. so dodge made up the rumor that the orange srt4's were faster so people would buy them. :lol:

no no no.its the switch on the flux compasitor that regulates the vtechness when it hits 12 hundred it starts to come on and it fully distrubutes itself at 7 grand like the rotating femer shaft does in the knucklebone wing..

To tell u the truth i did hear about a defibulator valve that puts out an extra 35 to 45 hp just a rumor though, its orange if u were wondering.

Yeah i heard something about a lack of limited slip and smaller injectors make the 03's faster :lol: .

Black is fastest even without the bottle.....See the color black at night makes it gain 50hp because its harder to see

You always got new stories to tell. :roll: I remember that night clearly on the 2nd run you said your shifter knob came off. Then you said your car stock, then after the race you said you have a 50 shot, than again you said a 75shot, then you say you have a 100 shot. Not only that you have a spring mod boosting at 18psi and running bald drag radial tires. So you thing I'm mad I got beat, nah I'm not mad I got beat by you. I just know I can run my car all day long, and still have the same power when I first started turning the ignition on my car.
But anyway....I'll be more than happy to compete against you at any car show of your choice, cause really Dan, that's what I made this car for.

My car when video was Made had , Spring mod , 2 year old , bald 225/50/16 Nitto's , 75 shot , K&N Drop-in .... Its a lil faster now :) Plus I dont like car shows , I'd win anyway , my cars Orange the people know Orange > Everything else

VYH Solar Yellow 10hp

CVK Orange Blast 20hp

Orange was determined in 1970 to be the fastest paint. Test’s were done on a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with Burnt Orange paint in August 1969 at Chrysler Proving Grounds. Orange vehicles with factory equipped 383 4v , 440 4v and 440 six pack were documented as faster than HEMI vehicles in other colors.

On most vehicles a two-part paint application (basecoat/clearcoat) is used. Color paint that is applied to primer is called basecoat. The clearcoat protects the basecoat from ultraviolet light and provides a durable high-gloss finish.

CAUTION: Do not use abrasive chemicals or compounds on painted surfaces. Damage to finish can result.

Do not use harsh alkaline based cleaning solvents on painted surfaces. Damage to finish or color can result in vehicle running as if it were black.

When a painted metal surface has been scratched or chipped, it should be touched up as soon as possible to avoid corrosion. For best results, use Mopar® Scratch Filler/Primer, Touch Up Paints and Clear Top Coat.
