I own a 1967 Camaro which I have a ball driving.100 % street legal ,used 3 to 4 times a week and has run 10.92@132 mph. With my combo and limited budget I feel I have gone as fast as I am able. So for something different I would like to see some wheels up regardless of how it affects my overall et.The car has a 377 with a 4000 stall with 4:56 gear and 275/60 MT drag radial.Any body got any tips how how I can get the wheels up. Any info appreciated.

No.

a trans break will allow you to launch at your true stall speed, right now you cant launch higher than the brake stall speed of the converter which is lower. if you launched off of a transbrake at 4000 rpm and the tires would hold it, you should be able to pull at least one wheel.

hey if your looking for a set of heads i got a set for sale they are dart 215s they flow over 300cfm comes with dart intake.

why do u want the car to pull the wheels off the ground that will just slow your et down.but yes a trans brake would work.pull weight off the front end and so on.

10.92 @ 132 is a total lack of traction.. maybe try getting some bigger m/t's on there.

I should have given more info. Yes traction is the biggest problem. 1.877 60'. The only mods to suspention are trick springs, 90 10 shocks and decent but cheap traction bars. I was hoping for ideas or proven items which could help me out. car is rust free so I don't want to cut it up to fit more rubber. The car actually hooks hard enough to pull both wheels but almost immediately unloads showing the poor 60'.Budget being key any ideas. I see magezine cars and such making less power and getting a ton of air. There is a set of ported dart 220's on there now but I have friends who might be interested depending on price.

What tire pressure are you running? You also said something about "cheap traction bars". What brand or style are they and what is you're pinion angle set at?

heres a link to the radial tire message board.there alot of them on the site that run mid to low 5s in the 1/8 that run first gen camaros on radials.i would just get the cal trac bars they work real good and u might want to get a drag racing style rear leafs on that thing.post some pics of the car.the facts on the heads are in the gm parts for sale section.
