View Full Version : Orange .vs. 300Z TT and 2JZ Auto
Well after all the dyno day fun we finally make it out to a spot . I BS around for a bit and a Z32 TT wants it from a dig . I agree after a bit of coaxing and we line em up .
I beep it off and i'm gone , put about 5 or so cars on it and shut down at 120 with the Z comming back on me a little ...
Next run was a BPU MKIV Auto ... 20 roll
I jump out hard and throw 2nd and my boost just dies .. h00ray gay vaccum lines . I pull over and fix it and run what I belive was the same car on the way back . I jump out hard again , throw 2nd and pull some more and then the Poopra starts comming back at the top of third , I throw 4th and wait for the pass ..
I throw her into 5th for good measure and at about 135 the Poopra comes around me pretty hard .
Go team 350ft/lbs of torque at the wheels ...

It was a darker color , dark blue or black or green couldnt tell ..
Had exhuast , FMIC from what I could see ...If its the same one I saw at teh dyno day ( I think it was the same one it made 380whp/395wtq ..

OK... This is where I step in... Who are you? What do you drive? And what is YOUR neck of the woods??? Kinda funny that I dont recall any of this, and I was there the whole day/night... Only thing I really recall is ME calling out EVERY SUPRA at the Double Tree Saturday night, and NONE OF THEM stepping up... Kinda funny how all the Supra owners with their "fast" cars, were quick to point out some Golf, and a Z06 when I asked to race... Its a SUPRA meet, and I wanted to race SUPRAS... The only car that stepped up all night was the S13 from CFT, and shortly after setting up the race, he disappeared... Im just going to guess that was due to cops though... No biggie... But still, why would none of the "fast" Supras actually race??? Did they just have enough racing on the dyno so they were retired for the day???
Everyone who knows me knows Im a very nice guy... But when you come on a board talking shit cuz you are all butthurt that your Supra friend got beat by a PRACTICALLY STOCK NEON, I get kinda upset... about supras being dyno queens..... you know not EVERYONE wants to build a car that does a 1/4 mile fast....not everyone wants to build a car that go 200+mph on a highway run....not everyone wants to build a road course car....
a supra can do all of that with minor modifications no problems.....its an overall awesome platform...but im sure you know that..... but the dyno queen thing is old...

Unfortunately, everyone is entitled to their opinion and their opinions sometimes hurt, but to disrespect 60% of the cars on TR by saying my Poopra is 40K and your car is not is just plain ignorant.
I am sorry Idealsupra feels like he has a fast car because it is 40K or something, but if you ask me I would rather own my Cavy (1K worth, maybe 2K) and own HIS Supra that is 15K or so, correct me if way off on pricing, or a Mark IV, as you so clearly stated 40K.
That is MY OPINION sorry if it hurts, they know who this is intented to.

You know whats funny... Ive put a LOT of money into my car, a LOT of time, and a LOT of hard work... YES... I do ALL of my work MYSELF, unlike most Supra owners... The funny thing is, a Supra owner himself was the one who brought that to my attention at the meet, that for the most part, Supra owners would rather pay someone else to do the hard stuff... I never seen your car. I can only imagine what it looks like from your description. From a what a 1000 dollar car sounds like...rust bucket fits the picture. I know your car might not be a rust bucket. It might be a fast, clean car. But your language throws me, and without a doubt it will throw others off into thinking your car is a peice of shit.
If you talk about your car like you actually appreciate it and estimate its worth more then most people then you would most likely profile this person as a supra owner or other higher-end car. This is because they value the car worth more then saying "my 1000 dollar pos will beat your 40k+ supra blah blah blah".
I own a mk3 supra. It is an older supra, but I have spend the last 2 years learning about the car and restoring it. I feel even though it might not be worth a shitload of money, but at least I dont talk shit to others like its a POS CAR THAT WILL OWN J00....

Lol I got a sweet deal on a 90 Jazz. It is bad ass SWAP time. Jazz me you and Kelly should get together for a race night we live in the same part of down. So add us to the call OUT!!!
On the dyno queen note, Hell Kelly had to force me to go to the dyno and I put some embarressing numbers down untuned. But thats us supra owners we are so rich we pay everyone else to work on our cars. I am still wondering why I have two radiators???

You must understand you are dealing with a person who dumps more money into a cressida then his supra. And who cares. If he wanted to get ass in a car like he said he would have choosen a different car, but he said the cavy was what he wanted, so let him swap and make it faster and appreciate his work, not bash it. hahahahah, actually my car went down as me and kelly were going back and forth about racing each other, she got upset becuase i posted that i beat her a long time ago in my 5.0 foxbody and she said that it never happened....i guess she just doesnt remember, it was awhile ago but whatever, my car will be up very soon and i will be more then happy to race her....should be a decent race ;)

You know whats funny... Ive put a LOT of money into my car, a LOT of time, and a LOT of hard work... YES... I do ALL of my work MYSELF, unlike most Supra owners... The funny thing is, a Supra owner himself was the one who brought that to my attention at the meet, that for the most part, Supra owners would rather pay someone else to do the hard stuff... So yeah, dont start that shit :lol:

Got a bit of a better tune on it, so it doesnt read rich on my wideband under boost, but my damn EMU wouldnt raise the rev limiter, so i have to play with it more so i have more of a powerband than 6000-6800, which sucks right now....
