thanks to stockaccord I got a tyte lil dvd player for my car. I was looking for one to put under my passenger seat with a remote eye but I couldnt pass up the deal and it turns out that his worked MUCH better.

I mounted the dvd player upside down right above my LCD screen and it fits almost seamlessly and when passing by from the outside it is invisible!

Oh and my prototype single vented 12" enclosure is free to whoever, it will be on the curb for trash pickup if no one is interested. Nothing is wrong with it - I was testing out the port/volume combination. I'm going to build another box with tweaked specs. The sub doesn't go with it of course :lol:

measures 36" x 6" x 16.5" on the outer dimensions
Internal volume is 1.49cubic feet, 1.46 after port and braces. It is 3/4" hardboard. The chamber is tuned to 33.3hz via 3 x 1.5" ports with a driver displacement of .08 cuft. The low end sounds real nice. All it needs is some carpet and its a clean box for your ride - I will demand rep points for whoever pics it up.

I did a Pioneer AVIC-88 in that same spot using the bracketing from the stock ashtray, fit was absolutely perfect and looked great. Its a nice little spot.

did you ever find a way to get your screens to do whatever it was you wanted them to do? (pattern to the beat or some shit?)

nah the part I want is a DJ visualizer and it hooks up to tv screens and computer light equipment but it costs $750 and its the size of a desktop computer so I'm waiting till I take logic and chip design next semester and I'll build my own.

I just rebuilt the same box sealed and with a flush sub mount and thats free too... I have now realized that the 36" width seals my trunk off to an almost air tight extent. I now have two blown 6x9s in the rear since I caulked the rear deck down and sealed the ports =/

and YES I really want you to stretch my fiberglass enclosure when you get back it prolly needs some smoothing before you do but I'll hook up $$$ for getting that done.

smoothed and vinyl wrapped, I like the shape of it and the fact that I can remove it easily. Def let me know when you are in town and have time... I might throw some carpet on it but I'll wait for your skillz to wrap it.
