I am just debating better spl sound power etc between the tan colored face 12"compvr with the new 350.2 kicker amp versus 12w0 with jl 250.1 amp need opinions please

key to spl comps,is to take a sub and overpower it so take the jl sub,and use the kicker amp.

SPL is t3h gh3y. Anyone can take a sub and get loud. SQ is where its at, in which case neither.

SQ = Infinity

spl is just as hard as sq once u become loud.it is a science to gain even a tenth of a db.if anyone kould do spl then why do i see so many 140db scores at shows?a 140 is not a hard number to beat,but many have problems getting to the 150 mark.

every gain of 3 db you must either - double your power or double your woofer surface area

I'd take JL over Kicker or Infinity anyday.

hey grade A.thats a good concept,but its not always true.Once your pass a certain point the theory is not true.i know people that have cut the number of subs,and went up in dbs,i know people that have doubled power and gained only 1db.At a point SPL is a science,but i know amatuers dont get that,so its ok.

Kicker is loud, JL is SQ. That 250/1 though is overkill for the W0. It'd be perfect for a W3V2 though

I hope that was not a burn calling me a amatuer please show me a system you have build that does 160 + db on 1000 watts...................

cuting number of subs probably ment there box was wrong . again doubling power to a system (subs box) that can not take it you will not see a increase in sound
and how was this increase in spl measured - use a meter - what kind - where was it place - same place before and afer-
that is all science
so you need to get your facts first hand before you say poeple you know and you dont have any first hand exerience

but for a amatuer, it is ok also.................
