read it in grassroots motorsports this evening.
dont have the article, but it bascially said that to fit in formula d rules, the tires will now be available to the public, in red or blue, at normal prices, and in 4 or 5 different sizes.
im sure matt will know more, but still cool that they still get to use them. and should be interesting to see how common it gets.

They have been available on Tirerack.com for some time now (well the red ones, the blue just came out). Some guy bought them and tried to beat enjuku at the burnout contest in Atlanta at NOPI a couple months back.

But you are right about FD changing the rules.

on a similar note, some tag heuer watches with rubber bands, like the f1, are vanilla scented, so they dont stink when you sweat. probably similar processes with the tires.
