SRT4 v. Altima 3.5 [Archive]

What's your opinion on who would win. This girl at work said her 3.5 beat the shit out of a 03 Solar Yellow SRT4 and I told her there is no way she could beat mine, cause my grandfather has a 3.5 altima and it's quick but I don't feel like it's light enough to keep up with my srt4 I don't know just curious on other's opinions on this one.

Ok cause she talked like she owned it and just walked over it. She did mention the guy drives like a girl so I'm sure that might have something to do with it but thanks for the info

i own a first gen my self, and i didnt say they where all slow just the one that lost to that altima. imo 2nd gen are junk thou

2nd gens are no more junk than 1st gens, just a bit heavier and slower...I want a SXT myself to play around with and see what I can get out of it, a nice built SOHC turbo engine run off of MegaSquirt...maybe try a hybrid 2.4 SOHC for fun...the possibilities are endless

i also didnt say all sxt's are junk just stok ones and the one tht lost to the altima.

I never said I agreed with her I even asked her to race and she turned me down so I'm sure it's like a couple people said he either

1) Didn't know he was racing
2) Can't drive worth a shit or it was an SXT, and or,
3) Didn't know he was racing

Probably was one of the SXT clone SRTs I have seen a few rolling around. They look just like a srt except no front mount. I am painting mine black so people will think I am a sxt ;)

This gets even better I had a guy here in lakeland last night try to say that the 06 SE-R Altima has 290 hp I never said anything U just laughed inside and walked away. People are over rating these things big time.

Its not as specifically dedicated as the SRT, but I wouldn't go so far as to say all that. The alti SE-R is a lot of car for the money, in a nice looking package. :roll:

I definatley agree with you Boost I like the Altima SE-R I'm a huge nissan fan and can't wait to get another one. my wife and I actually looked at one and test drove it but didn't want to spend the money for that so that's why we got the SRT-4 LoL :D

i'll second that. i raced one in my charger and screwed him up really good, but there was an srt-4 running around here somewhere that i can't quite keep up with. gave him a length by 80.

I think it was he didnt know they where racing. Don't get me wrong for a mid size sedan the altima is not a weak car. that vq V6 is very strong N/A engine but, It doesn't have the power to weight ration the SRT has

Its not possible that the skittle owner didnt know how to drive? Ive watched 3.5 Alti's do 14.4s. It wouldnt be hard for one to beat a poorly driven SRT.
