I am ordering my new suspension stuff soon..I want to wait untill I get it to autocross again.
Edit: Hot damn! With that classing system , my xA could probably stand a chance in H-Class. Either because it wouldn't do half bad, or because I'd be the only one :-D

Not doing the State Champs event at GIR??
this is his only chance at getting FTD
upon closer inspection, that classing scheme is retarded, im at 14pts so i stay in the same stock class & would compete against cars closer to stock?

question...
will you guys allow a 2005 Toyota Tacoma X runner the opportunity to run the course? its not your average run of the mill pick-up. Figured i'd ask before i waste the time/money

I'm getting my car on the 8th, so I'm planning to be there.
It's been waaaay too long since I've been to an event. Hope I still remember how to drive.

BMWCCA is also running at Brooksville that day. I will probably run with them. More runs, bigger course. :D

We'd have to see the Tacoma, but it would probably be okay to run. It's top-heavy SUV's an minivans that we generally shy away from. Pickups are usually okay if they're not jacked up.
Muddy, you don't want to come to this event because you're afraid I'll whoop up on you again.
And Willis, you can find lots of pointers in the sticky posts at the top of the forum.

I ain't skeert! I think I will need the extra runs at BMWCCA to figure out what shock settings to use on my Bilsteins, now that I have added a RB 1.25" front ASB.

I would like to run at Brooksville again. I liked the big course. However, I have never driven the SPC course. I signed up - hope to make it there this time.

I know the event starts @ 7, but how late is it & how many runs/passes/trials/etc does each driver get? Is there like awards or whatever afterwards? Just curious on the layout of the day, never been to one before.

You know, it's very difficult to read and comprehend your posts with that sig image you have there. ;)
The usual schedule for a SunRiders event (by the way, this is the next to last SunRiders event... after December, SunRiders will no longer be doing autocrosses, we're making the move to NASA and there will be a few changes in how things are done) goes something like this:
7:00am - People start showing up and setup begins.
8:00am - Registration opens
9:30am - Registration closes
10:00am - Driver's meeting
10:30am - First car out
Noonish - Lunch
3-4:00pm - We clean up and go home.
We normally split into three run groups. One group will run while another group works the course and the third group hangs out. We try to do a minimum of 6 runs and often do more than that.
We don't do awards, but we do post results on the website after the event. (this is one of the things that may be changing with NASA... a little more competition, event awards, season championship, etc)

Hate to say it but I'll be attending the BMW Autocross instead of the Sunriders, even though I'll be driving a Miata. The larger course, and NAMELY the frequency, length, and quantity of runs are much higher. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth at the BMW Club's autocross... so much so I'm looking for an e36 M3 possibly (maybe that way I'll get on the results list on the website  BMW pricks.
Just kidding at the end there. :bigthumb:
(except really)
Edit: Oh sweet, they added non-Bmws, now I'm definitely going. I'll miss the old Sunriders at SPC but my car overheats from waiting so long in line there.

so if i show up around 8 will that be ok? I really don't have anything to unload seeing as i'm driving the car there and all.

You can show up at 9:29. I don't recommend it because you'll want ample time to walk the track, as well as get inspection over with.
Well, I was planning on attending the Sunrider's event seeing as I had so much fun last time. However, after reading a few of the above posts about the BMW events, I think I'm gonna check it out instead. I'll let you all know how it is.
You have to be on the list for the BMW event. Might be too late now. Person to contact is Barry Miller, I think.

Ok, I am back on for the Sunrider's event. Maybe next month I'll do the BMW thing. See you all there.

FYI, pre-registration for this event has reached the 60-car limit. If you're not pre-registered, it's likely that you won't get in.
