Was driving yesterday going to work.. saw another SRT-4 he waved to me which was pretty cool i waved back.. then a little further down the road i see some acura integra heard the loud exhaust so it caught my attention i look over just as we were even and to see that he has his middle finger up looking right at me.. i was like wow what an ass. Never really knew how much some people hate us. :(

i just helped my friend do a engine swap into his honda. yeah we got on the horn with john deer and had them send us a new motor. we even ordered one of those cool after market shift knobs with the turtle and rabbit on it.

i was on my way home from work tonight at 11:30pm and im cruisin down 19 and this honda hatch gets next to me i look over and laugh. (im in my gst) he says "your drivin a piece of shit" so i gave hime a thumbs up and down shift, but not to run just to get him to think i was and he down shifted and took off. i just put it back in 5th and hoped he got a ticket. but he didnt. i got to the next light where he was waiting and he says to me "what happened" so i reply that he wasnt worth the gas. the light turned green and he ripped off the line. as he was turning onto eastbay he went west and dumped it out of the off ramp right in front of a cop that was in the tri city plaza. he got nailed. i went by giving him the thumbs up and went home without a ticket.

now now, not all honda owners are idiots...in fact I have been playing with the idea of buying a CRX to mess around with...I would have to get an H22 though...I cant stand motors with no torque...not like the H22 has much, but it has enough to move a CRX...he he, especially under 20lbs or so of boost...or maybe I'll go really wild and drop an SRT motor into that thing too....some custom mounts and axles and I'd be good to go, talk about light...hmm, the possibilities...more fun with a non-honda motor I think...maybe a 4g63? or a boosted Ecotec? Or one of those new Mazda 2.3L motors(boosted of course)

Saw a 2.2L T1 dodge motor swapped into the back of a 84-87 crx on horsepower TV one time.

Ran 8.8 in the 1/8th mile with a 100% stock motor and maybe without an IC.. Everything was done by the kid that owned it, at his house..

Turbo Dodge powered, 84 crx, with RWD... I can't think of too much better place to start....

My 89' Si weighs 2165LBS. with 100% of the factory stuff in it, with sunroof and everyone says the old school CRXs are even lighter... With the all Iron dodge motor in the back, it prob. weighed 2100-2200LBS. My best friend had a GLH-T Omni that was gutted from headliner to sound deading ( only had two prelude seats, dash, and steering wheel ) and it STILL weighed 2200LBS.

An SRT4 motor in the back of a old school CRX would prob. run low 12s, maybe high 11's with the right tires.. Mod the SRT4 motor, and the sky is the limit...

Sorry to be kinda cruel, I just hate it when people with a slower car wanna act like they can beat anything. Like I'm not going to walk up to my friend Jason's 600whp cobra and say, " what ? making fun of dodge ? Man I'll kill you, so bring it !!"

So far, I've let a little guy in Japan build my engines, but I have built an entire turbo kit for junk yard parts ( no, I mean REAL junkyard parts ), along with fabbing the downpipe, exhuast, hard IC piping, and EVERYTHING used on it. So, yea, I know what you mean about working the kinks out ( which is why I bought a SRT4, I got tired of killing my 1.6L, trying to keep up with all these modern fast-stock cars ).

My SRT4 payment is $400 even, Insurance is $180 a month with my CRX Si too. Put nothing down with a 14% APR ( my brother's teco bill in my name owned me ). Catch ? bought it with 4600miles for $18K. NEVER buy a BRAND NEW CAR.

Quality wise ? well, my hondas own my SRT4 there, but we don't race interoirs, besides my SRT4 has 160K less miles than my CRX si, hehe.

2004 Red Srt4 with 14k miles, only 16,900 talked down a bit put down 4k and financed the rest.. paying 220 a month and insurance full coverage is under my parents name for about 320 total for everything.

Your crazy. My CRX Si is stock, my neon has around 320+whp and the CRX wins the "fun to drive" contest easy. It doesn't have the straight line speed, but its A lot more fun to toss around. AND the CRX has 175K miles.

I love my SRT4, but talking bad about a CRX is the wrong honda to pick-on. I have a hatchback too, and its nowhere near as fun to drive ( for some reason, there even the same year !!! ).
