im getting the dodge challenger she is now mine. my grandfather just gave my mom his 94 mercury not sure what they call it but its like the lincol town car but bigger lol well the dodge ios mine and im happy. my grandfather on my dads side was the first owner of it it is a 1983 Dodge challenger it was car and drivers car of the the year for 1982 it has a mitsubishi 2barrel motor in it that is rated at 105HP@5000 and 139 FT/LBS @2500, it is RWD *unexpected huh?* lol its a re make of the 70's dodge challenger just all retro and more 'economy' styled i just adjusted the timing because she was pinging horrible and she is running decent other then needing a timing chain cause u can hear it slap..... that wil be my first thing to do to it, then regualr maintanence.....(oil, air filter, fuel filter, etc.) i just thought i would put out the word and have you guys ever heard of one of these i believe they only made 500 of them for 1983 hehe *i got a rare car:D* i want her to have a little more power so i was wondering if u guys have heard of any swaps to do with these little beasts i wanan hear em or of anythign to do to this motor, i wouldnt mind knowing how much power the block can hold *or boost* or how efficient the head design is but keep in mind this doesnt have the little inlet nipple by the intake valve anymore to create a tornadoe effect for a more efficient combustion just iw anan hear EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING about this car guys lmk

Thanks a ton in advance, Joe

You had me excited for about 10 seconds. They made a lot more than 500 Challengers in 1983. There may only be 500 currently still running, but a lot more were produced.
Also look at Plymouth Sapporo's, they are the same car. If its a 2.6L it can handle quite a bit of mods, including turbo.

Thats about as much as I know and care to know about them. I really can't help you much with modifications, 4 cyls and turbos are outta my league. You will prob get much better info in a Mitsu forum as to mods to the 2.6L. Here is a couple of links that may have some info on them.
