Its been about close to 3 weeks with my Red Srt-4.. their are usually a lot of cops sitting around all the time on my way to work on dale mabry. They never looked at me twice (sheriffs) with my old car. But now with my srt.. i have been pulled over TWICE. Obviously it has to be the red. I havent been speeding or racing or anything. My car isnt loud.. they let me off both times. They find the dumbest reasons to pull me over. First was my radar detector they made a big deal about asking me why i had it then let me go. Why not pull over the other 20 people that went by with one. The second was they pulled me over because they are trying to keep the road safe.. they have been getting complaints about loud exhausts in the surrounding neighborhoods, and believe people are racing about. IT WAS 3 IN THE AFTERNOON IDIOT. God dam its so annoying and it doesnt help that my heart is about to blow out of my chest everytime and that im under my parents name in insurance and if i get pulled over by a complete ass then he will find a way to put me under my own insurance.. there goes my simple 100 a month. :( I have never felt so singled out almost like they are being racists towards cars.

No doubt, the SRT's a getting quite a reputation on the street. Twenty years ago we were getting pulled over by those officers dads who found any reason to get a good look at your car. Usually it was a tag light out, loud exhaust or something stupid. You just have to deal with it. Now they give me the thumbs up a smile and a nod. And trust me, I don't pussy foot my Challenger when I'm driving it.

Invest in a muscle car.

Used to own a mustang gt for about a year i hated mustangs. Was going to get a teg but just saved up some cash and went with the srt.

how is a mustang GT a muscle car unless its pre 72? I used to own a 67 mustang coupe w/ a 289 v8 and the crappy c4 tranny, loved it, the cops never gave me any trouble with it, the main problem with the SRT is the ricey front bumper and wing, they stick out like a sore thumb, I never had a problem with my 98....and talk about a loud exhaust...no cat, 3" piping with a glasspack for a muffler....cops never gave me a second glance....heh, they must have thought it was some other car that was making all the noise

Yea my mustang gt just had headers, flowmasters and thats about it was really looking to mod it but just got sick of it.

heh, you get sick of any car you own for awhile, heck I'm sick of my neon and I havent even completed it 100% yet, but thats why you get a second car to work on while you are temporarily sick of the 1st one, I'm looking for a dodge colt hatch or a hyundai Scoupe right now myself for a second car to modify...so if you know of anyone selling one thats a 5 speed let me know

i strongly disagree. ive been pulled at least 8 times in the past year for nothing.
i ask why are you pulling me over they tell me shut up and give me you lisence,reg and ins cards. they go back to the car let me sit there for 15 min then come back and tell me to leave. i hate those fuckers:madfawk:

got pulled last night, that sucks. my tails were out. he pulls me over, asks me if i know why and i say no, he tells me and then he says get out of the car. i was like what, why? he said because we are searching it, he tells me he thinks i might have narcotics inside. i said go ahead. i got nothing in there. so anyways 20 mins later he gets done and gives me a fix it ticket and sends me on my way. they are my heros.
