I have to comment on this.

I installed alot of suspension last weekend, and I called Advanced Perf. Talked to Jen (Mike's wife) Theres two main reasons why I may not personally go to Advanced.

Pre curser so its nothing on Mike: He has nothing to do with Alignments other than the rack is in his shop and he gets a cut of the profit. Mike has always treated me good with tires etc.

#1 The alignment guy only works Mon - Friday 12 - ISH to 5 or so. If you can't get off work or what not you're fucked.

#2 The alignment can run you from Quote: "$69.95-$299.95 depending upon how long it takes him to adjust the car" - Jen. This kinda pisses me off cause if he wants to dick around and fuck off he can charge you what he wants. I would think no longer than a Hr. Advanced will NOT give you a straight up answer.
This kinda reverts you back to #1 cause if it takes ____ hrs to do an alignment and you have an appointment time you may get bumped etc. Not cool.

Cars and Concepts probably does the best alignment around. I think its about $80.00 or so. They also do corner weighting. Call and ask for Thomas. Check it out. I may end up going there when I put on my rims. Right now I'm rolling around on my drift shit, and I don't care for a full blown alignment.

Like I said.. Mike nor Jen control the Alignment guy. Its all him. The fact nothing is deffinate with that guy or alignments are skeptical enough for me to question going there. I mean if he could at least tell me yeah no longer than a hr. Guess what 1 hr no more no less is all hes getting out of me. Just my take on it. I know there good people hands down. I don't doubt that at all.

coming from the other side of that, i get paid basiclly 30$ to do an alignment.
which equates to 2 labor hours.
for me to make money, and not be wasting time, i have 2 hours i could spend on that.

at tire kingdom, i made 5$ for doing an alignment. regardless of how much time i spent.
so there was no incentive for me to do it correctly, which i rarely did. 5$ doesnt pay me to care about much.

if you want to get something done correctly, then pay extra.
or go somewhere cheap, and let them fuck your car up. or do it incorrectly because they are underpaid.

also, they are just covering their ass.
what if you installed all your shit wrong, and it takes them 3 hours?
they would be fucked.

and just fyi, an alignment machine costs nearly, or over 20,000$.
they have to make that money back somewhere. its not a loss leader.

Well, from personal experience. The guy that's there, he's a good guy, but he's more of a regular alignment guy, anything that will need a lot more attention, custom camber, with custom suspension, Mike actually works on it too.

I had good luck with Transwheel. They charged me $30 for a 2 wheel alignment(I drive a mustang) I have a lowered car with caster/cameber plates up front. he got everything on pretty good from what I could tell, I had no funny wear issues with the tires and everything else seemed straight. I will probably go back to them the next time around, which is soon. They wanted $50 for a 3 wheel alignment.

If I had the cash and wanted a competition setup, id take to cars and concepts

Everything you said applies to Cars and Concepts as well...it's $80, but you will get charged hourly if it runs over the alotted time. When I had my car there for an alignment, I had to take off of work because of the Mon - Fri until 5pm thing. Not bashing them at all since they do good work, if you need a real race alignment they will get it done right, but their policy is the same as Advanced Perf.

we aligned and corner weighted an s13 at cars and concepts. 8 hours of labor. do the math.

i aligned that exact car at advance performance. 100.00 out the door.

advance gets my vote.
