i read that they have a car. it will be in the us in the next couple of days for sema.

but they arent saying what it is . some people know but they are not saying. this is what i learned on club4ag

ya'know, i thought i saw a movie or somthing and keiichi was trying to talk the spoon head into building a d1 car out of some new awd luxo car honda has out.....wish i could remember more info

I'll say that I know, and the car is not in the US yet. It will be at SEMA, and due here in ... a couple days. lets say it will be an amazing car, and is a refreshing difference from the normal field. Spoon's big-cheese had his personal hand in this car as his labor of love, so you know it's going to be big.

I think Honda is going to push their S2000 into the drifting scene since its the only rwd car that they produce besides the NSX. The looks and basics of it should resemble the GM Sky because GM and Honda share few each other's parts. So this "surprise" should be interesting.

the way the s2k was made its not a good drift car from what i have heard out of my option mags. and the nsx is really hard to drift since its a mid engain.

Are you saying that a S2k isnt drift able? Shit, then you could say the same about the new GM GTO. All stock, its not easy to drift with, but with some cuztomizing, it CAN. And i have a strong feeling that they will reveal a S2k. Who really releases a brand new model at a SEMA show anyways, right? So its either the S2K or NSX. But the NSX is MR, so i have little faith that it is it. FR is a better choice, which the S2K is.

If they could find an awesome driver and build a trick ass NSX, no matter how hard it seems, that would definatly be sweet. Since this isn't likly, I'll agree it's probably an S2000, but a RWD Civic sounds like something that isn't too far out of reach.

Oh man, that car looks sooo damn hot. They remind me of a R33 Skyline though they looked slightly different.

Oh man, that car looks sooo damn hot. They remind me of a R33 Skyline though they looked slightly different. in japan it is a honda,no acura...and ur right it kinda does look like a r33 : ) i likes.

It's about time someone actually read the quotes in the first post. "AWD luxury car". The new RL is the only one that meets that description.

I thought honda was going to make the Accord AWD too. There was like a 20 minute clip of it on the internet just over a year ago when they tested it in the snow.
The placement of the motor will be horizontal, like EVOs and WRX/STI. We dont see them often as RWD anyways. The rwd conversion can be done on these family/luxury cars, but my hand still goes out for the S2K.

damn, i never thought of the RL. my uncle has one, that would be a perfect drift car. its heavy, but so are e34 skylines and chasers.

RL/Legend same thing. And the the car that they are displaying at sema is going to be an endurance car. If they are also going to display their drift car, i haven't heard any mention of that. But who knows maybe it will be a surprise

I'd like to see more RWD conversions in drifting. My Leg only took a day (plus ongoing R&D) to convert and is rocking hard. Now I just need to get better at driving it :lol:

Props to Spoon for finally figuring out what the whole drift thing is about, with style!

and there gonna make the rl a drift car too and no and legend is nowhere near an RL and they made two think about it a 4WD car to be a drift car the only acura that is 4WD is the RL and if there gonna drift it why not build a race car too shit they got tons of money to spend

It's really stupid for them to build a AWD car and say that it's a drift car. They probably have the power ratio of 5% in the front, and 95% to the rear. :lol:
I did find a EVO that was converted to RWD on the internet. Rhys Millen drifted at I think APEXI main office parkinglot.
FWD cars are more just favorful for drifting.
