View Full Version : Why does the bass hurt?

Guys, I think I am getting old and growing out of the bass phase. For the past...3 weeks I can honestly say I've only turned up my bass 4 times. When fully cranked, it hurts my ears and just gives me headaches. I find myself leaving the music down and just getting on it to hear the exhaust. I am thinking of selling all my audio in and maybe buying rims or a lowering kit. I guess over 3 years now of loud music catches up to you. :-/ WHYYYY

emotional state and weather change the way we hear things. Keep in mind we have been in hurrican weather for a while, that means low pressure which makes your ears more sensitive to low pressure.
I usually pull the fuse to my sub amp and run off of my mids for a week or so when I start gettin headaches from the bass. I'm not tryin to talk you out of it, but you may just be tired of bass for a spell, it would suck to give a kid the deal of a litetime and then miss your system later on.

im curious to see these new eD subs. I wonder if they will be up to par with the big RE subs, brahma, Magnum etc etc

Fuck the redesigned brahma that claims power handling of 600 watts, ill take an old school one anyday though.
Ive heard a lot of people disappointed with the low end in the Kv2 and Ov2, I was actually looking into getting one. Plus the owner of eD is a shady douchebag. Plus my friends eDeadv1, the paint on stuff, falls off his rear deck from bass. Shitty.
Damn, I seem like such a hater. When I have jack shit in my car right now.

to me, eD is a pure SQ company that makes subs made for small enclosure and not made to be deep....i am anxious to see how these new subs are
As for their edead, I can acclaim to the shit falling off....thats why I pressed it on like a mother fucker the second time I applied it. Its cheap stuff $$$ wise and works great for me...

yeah well I havent been able to listen to it lately cuz its eatin my fuses
I love your fog lights man, I am jealous. I really want the halo ring but do not want to block off light from the fog lights itself. I wanna do this but it seems very complicated....this would be the way to do it tho
http://diycars.tripod.com/angees.html
That way I could open up the fog light housing and attach a ring around the outside diameter inside the lense then seal it back up and bam

Thats a tried and true approach, however mine are 30x brighter and you can see them with the foglights on. those tiny little two LED rings are truely for show only.
If you give me the diameter of your foglights I can fabricate a ring for you. I'm also workin on a prototype turn signal in orange that lights up on the side you are turning. And of course, the always popular initials in your foglights...
