good point, ive driven several stock ones into the 13s but there are very few people who have the skills to do so. Not saying people cant drag race its just these cars 100% stock are hard to be consistant and run good ETs unless you can figure out what the technique/trick is. Ive personally had a best of a 13.7 in a stock 04' while the owner could not do better than a 14.6-14.7. Slowpoke gets the cookie though with a 13.6 run on a stock car....

yea...nobody wants to lose to a neon, plus i think 90% of the people who dont own SRT4 are just plain Haters...whats not to like?...oh!..maybe because its superior to most cars out of the box and less expensive...definetly under-rated compared to the most overated cars like sti's and evos...lol...:haha:

i pulled a 13.8@101 stock,then matched it with a 13.8@105 with a dp,wga@14lbs spike/hold,and a homemade intake :lol:..Key is getting it out of the hole,while maintaining a good shift,and shifting point :-)

I like people hating on it b/c its a neon. people hating = people thinking its not that fast. people thinking its not that fast = me flying by them in 3rd gear.

its like the SRT4 came out. Killed everyone from a roll, and now its TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE to race from a roll, but its been fine to roll race for the past 10 years with hondas... Funny... Everyone just got tired on the SRT4 pulling that car or car and a half right when the 3rd honk goes out, are superoir power band hunting car that have a peaky powerband, but "more power" per say...

On the other hand... If I was still St. racing my turbo civic, I wouldn't race a SRT4 from a roll...

Greatest thing ever... I'm out at "a spot" two days after I buy my 04'.... There's a STi there with rims/wheels, exhaust, ground effects, and other little things, and you know its got more engine mods... He asks me to race, I say, "I just bought the car, and I can show him the paper work in the glovebox, the car is 100% stock and I'll race him from a roll, and he'll still beat me ". He REFUSES to race me from ANY kind of roll at all !!!

"300hp car" + mods vs stock SRT4, and he still won't even roll with me...

Let'em keep hating, more parts for me... Any REALLY un-biase person will look past the name, see the car for what it is. I've hated neons forever, I also knew they could be fast, but never agreed they could be fast for a long time. This neon can do both. I hate neons, and I bought a SRT4.

on the stock tires i usually leave around 1500-1800 and wot shift @ 5800-6.
on slicks its 4k launch and the same shifts.
