Don't care. By the way, The VVL should be working in every gear if you're WOT and above a certain RPM. If it was a standalone, who knows how it's hooked up, though.

yeah.... the VVL should work whenever your over a certain RPM. My window switches where set at 4800 rpm and 4600 I think. For what its worth... from a 2nd gear roll I smoked a guy with S4's. Dont know what kinda engine management he had though. I just had the JWT, VE maf and the window switches.

i sold the car before i got deployed out here to Qatar. but when i had it.... it had

SR20VE, VE MAF, JWT program with VE maf VE injectors and rpm switches, two msd adjustable rpm switches (for cam switch), Jasma/fujitsubo header, JWT pop charger, 2.5inch VRS piping with magnaflow muffler, tein SS, prothane poly engine/trans mount inserts, B&M short throw, 5 speed swap w/ 99 trans (no LSD).

it was a fun car.... dont even know fully why i sold it. I just did. on a whim.

never put it on the dyno. it was completely untuned. It really needed a fuel computer. JWT really programs real rich. I assume I was putting down around 175ish. Not really sure though. It pulled hard though.

Why are you telling me this??? who are you trying to teach??
Standalone is a common choice for people who dont want a stock ecu and dont want to use jwt. The car was fresh off the dyno tune and running very fast. the same night he raced me he raced a ve car w/ sr16 cams/fuji header and hung nicely. The car is as fast as you can make a I/H/E ve.

Alright, well if you don't need to be taught, you OBVIOUSLY know it very well, why don't you teach it - and tell us how the standalone controls the VVL? He was just saying, he wasn't sure how they rigged it to come in at a certain RPM with a standalone module, because the stock one is so advanced.

The standalone dose not control the vvl, msd rpm switches do.
