I could see where shift lock would be harder with less flywheel intertia. My $0.02.

i wouldnt want like a 9lb flywheel cuz of what epstein said, just a little lighter would be fine....but the clutch.....i want STRONG clutch.....:-)

I think shaving a few pounds will make the car more responsive and feel quicker, but as with most things, you can go too far and take all of the inertia out of the motor (not a huge concern if you're not drag racing).

i thought as much, they guy i was talking to said that the turbo wouldnt be able to spool with the flywheel or someshit like that, time to order the fidanza
Fidanza is on national backorder...good luck getting some. And I dont recomend aluminum flywheels because
1: they warp easy
2: they cant be resurfaced like cromoly
But I got great news!
ACT is releasing their prolite and street/strip flywheels for the SR20.
the Prolite is 9 lbs the street strip oine is 14, which I believe is a better option for drifting...I will pick one up as soon as they come out. (Chromoly) XAT will have some too when they 1st come out.
