Looks like maybe from the batt cables eh?

Once it goes black, it can never go back.

ok from what i know. guy claims he could smell gas with the ac on or at a stop. he gets home and pops the hood. he cant see anything visable wrong. so he decides to go inside and let it cool off he checks his email and gets a drink. when he walks outside he sees the massive fire. guy used water to put it out and says the the fire wouldnt go out under the battery tray. the only mods he had was mopar performance air filter, stage 1 injectors, magnaflow muffler for whatever reason, car was previsouly modded more but was put back to this. not sure what other mods he had but i know of water injection. lets hear what you guys think it was. im smellin leaking injector seal? lets hear it!

Smell of fuel?... well that counts out the battery cables

Looks like his water injection malfunctioned then.

sounds to me like it could have been leaking o-rings on the S1 injectors...maybe igniting his injector cover? I once had a small engine fire happen to me...when I first relocated my alternator to the front of the engine, the cable I used was evidently bad, I was woken up in the middle of the night when my neighbr came knocking saying my car was on fire...it ended up just burning the alternator cable itself and a portion of my wiring harness...no real damage, have no clue how it happened when the car had been shut down for hours though

i had a almost deadly fire happen to me in my 77 camaro. the bracket that held the glass fuel filter broke some how and that let the filter flop around and break open on the intake when i smelt the strong amount of gasi pulled over and saw a puddle of gas that was about to spill over onto the left bank header! thank god i stopped to check it out!
