After changing the alternator and the battery my car still wont hold the charge. some said it was the voltage regulator but i looked and it doesnt look like that car has one. than someone told me its the Power Control Module. What do i need to do?

yes the voltage regulator is part of control module. You need to replace the module, no parts are serviced for it.

your daytona is turbo right? 3" straight back or dump out the side if you can.if its NA then get a greddy or or something if they make a kit for that car.

The computer on that is called a "power module" its located in the right front behind the battery. Its a fairly large black plastic item with large holes at either end for the fresh air to run thru it.

What kind of V do you have with the car '0N' and running?

with a fully charged battery it will be at 12 or 13 volts. after it runs for about 10 minutes it will drop to 8 volts

I find that strange that just idling or running will drain your battery so fast. Is the battery 'good'?
I assume the car dies if you disconnect the battery after starting it?
You'll want to verify the wires going to the alternator are good. Esp the ground.

Usually there is a wire to the PCM that controls the magnetic field on the alternator ( this determines how much "V" the alternator will oputput). Check that too.

This is all under the assmption that:

yes the voltage regulator is part of control module. You need to replace the module, no parts are serviced for it.

I'm no expect on that year's PCM but I'll trust the post.

all you really need to change is the regulator, that and you'll need a handle too. Prob best and go the bone yard and grab it since its long discountinued from Chrysler. Looks like they used manual as an option from 84-89 and are the same. The power set up is the same to 1993 . I can't download any wiring diagrams back that far from Chrysler so you prob should just get a service manual for the wiring.
