I am installing an LT4 knock module and read that you should disconnect the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes after install to allow the computer to reset. If I do this, will it do away with my custom tune from Jeremy?

no, thats perm burned into the ECU

Then what is the reseting about?? I didn't go thru the reset process after the install and just took the car out and it is breaking up at hi rpms again.
Jeremy had all of it gone but thought I should still replace.

the ECU reprogram replaces the OEM operating spec

the reset resets the computer to all dead values, so to say...its like the car thinks the computer is being started brand new in a way, which allows the computer to read the new parameters of any new electronic changes.
