WRX/STI vs SRT 4 shoot out results !!!!

the way i see it is .....
1) srt 4 WARREN D.... back to back 12.07's (although he got hole shotted on the 1st run :naughty: )
2) srt 4 SLOW POKE.... 2 12.17's (+2 f-ups = 12.27 and 12.20's)
3) this is where people need to chime in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i know i heard of a (which i believe) 12.7 ( ???'s car driven by dan) and a 12.9 which i saw (boosted 4 eg? sorry about the n20 pop :whoa: ) out 2 other srts but i don't know if they were able to back it up ???. BUT i did see a STI (black) run 2 12.97's !!!!! :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
so as far as backing your time up, i see it as:
1)SRT 4 /warren d 2 12.07's
2)SRT 4/ slow poke 2 12.17's
3) STI / black 2 12.97's(didn't meet you so i don't know your name.... sorry)

Looks like the Srt4's handed it to the wrx's, also very funny thing i heard that Balboa, here on TR ran a 13.9 in his STI with turbo back exhaust and god knows what else :haha: thats funny shit right there...

The heat seemed to be everyones downfall today. I personally did not run for that one reason. I had a good time with everyone else out there. Was a great turn out and I am going to try to post some video footage of some of the races today because that is what I did for most of the day!

Yea, my times ate ass as well. I didn't even hit my stock times it was so fucking hot. But on th plus side, I lost 1 race to an orange SRT on spray, and won the rest. It was a good time meeting all you guys that went. My girl and I had a damn good time, despite getting first degree burns on my hand from touching my car.haha

he was having traction issues and eventually had a nitrous incident...he was coasting to low-mid 13s and had a best of a 12.9...coasting.

I ran a 12.7@107 in aaron's car...felt like it had more, i asked for one pass and he ran 2 both were 13.4s as he missed a gear on both runs

nothing major....no traction + rev limiter + nitrous coming online = slight backfire :tard:

it was too hot to run the bottle + more boost on what i presume was pump gas + xylene. He'd roll out on the boost in 1st and part of 2nd, torque steer all over the track once the bottle came online then the computer would cock block him with a nice boost cut in 4th.

he would have ran low low 12s if he had better traction...better yet slicks and full use of all the gears

My best time was a 13.974 @ 97.07. I'm not disappointed due to the heat and the fact that my clutch isn't up to par. My best tme to date is a 13.48 @ 101.84. ^ was the first time I had ever trapped below 101 -- that should tell you something about the heat. With a good clutch I'm pretty confident I can get dangerously close to the 12's -- all with just exhaust.

BTW does degrading me online get you off or something?

I was out there and can attest to the hellacious heat, but I think the main contributor to my shitty times was the driver mod, but thats ok thats why I went out there in the first place. Can't wait to get another stab at it in some better weather. My slowest was a 14.89 @99.8 with a 2.6 60' ft (still beat the WRX next to me though) my first run ever, and my best was a 14.0 @101 w/ a 2.2 60' ft (lost to a really nice silver STi). Highest trap was 102, I know theres more in my car, just have to work on my 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. Thanks to everybody who came out it was alot of fun, really good turnout like what 15 SRTs? Next should be a dyno day

My best time was 12.92@113.72 This wasBabying it out of the hole due to mounts , spraying mid way through 2nd , on low boost ...

With that trap in this heat and the way I did it . On slicks , with mounts and a cooler day I think it could see an 11 out of it .

Yeah the first one I raced was a blue one, but yeah it was a fun run b/c you got me by like 3 cars off the tree then I had to play catchup all the way down the track.

I ran a black one also, it was stage 1 I think and he had me by about a car the whole way down the track, it was a really good race, I can't remember his s/n though.

^^^ That was me. THanks for the little ego boost. BOth of you guys were good runs as well. I've got basic stuff done, wga, mbc, S1, hks bov with hardpipes, and some other stuff. Only boltons, no spray or anything.

I need to figure out my misfiring or what ever it is. It doesn't do it if I ease into boost in 2nd gear and go into 3rd hard but if I floor it in 2nd it stumbles pretty bad around 3k and then takes off hard. :dunno: I was running mid 14's due to this. :(

Trying to spike to 18 and be around 15 at redline but it's tough with the stage 2 wastegate. I just need to get an AGP and solve all the problems with that but the stumbling seems to happen before full boost. I want to try changing my wires and see what happens. I already changed the plugs to NGK's gapped to .045

I have mine gapped at a .032 and have no problems. If you dont have S1, that might be the issue as well. I had a wga and mbc on my car with no S1 for a while, and it ran like shit, always pulling spark and whatnot.

THey were good runs, I always wanted to see how my car would do against a WRX. a few mods and you'll be beating me. We all need to plan on going again when it's cold outside, and see what our cars will run with nice cool air.

THey were good runs, I always wanted to see how my car would do against a WRX. a few mods and you'll be beating me. We all need to plan on going again when it's cold outside, and see what our cars will run with nice cool air.

Im not afraid of my axles as much as the actual gears in the tranny. They seem to go first on the wrx and its about $2500 for a new set and install. I dont have that kinda cash. But yeah lets def do this again in like December or January.
