I'd think the cooling effects of air flow would still be better with the original scoop. I say keep it the way it is.

ive been thinking that also. i need as much as i can to keep that turbo cool. the reverse scoop will take away from that

3- thermotech that dang turbo. it NEEDS that the most.

that 5-7 degree difference you are seeing is in IAT? i wonder what the difference in the heat from the turbo would be with a reverse scoop. need an egt gauge to determine that

that 5-7 is an approximation in the underhood temps, not IAT.

best way to flush the intake temp is with the fogpanel intake. that's an easy 10°F cooler, with the ability to regain ambient temps instantly.....

your black sti will look correct w/ the CF piece; my good ole crystal G looks odd, imo.
