OK.... i am going to us 4 alpine 10" type r's in a box
I want to build it in a single reflex bandpass
where the front chamber is sealed and the rear chamber is ported thru the rear deck of the car. Anyone have a box program that can help me out with the specks?

riversdont care what freq they hit, as long as the trunk rattles cant be heard from inside the car...

err, ricers...damn dell POS keyboard fuking up my jokes.
DAMN YOU LAPTOP KEYBOARD..DAMN YOU!
Oh but on another note I saw a 3 chamber bandpass box with equal porting to each chamber and it seemed to be ported below 30, and my chest damn near exploded... ouch.

hope you are not implying i am a "ricer"
my car eats them whole!
and what did the 3 chamber bandpass box look like? or was it one common chamber sharring one side of the all the drivers and seperate chambers for the back of each driver portered the same?

:o you can suck 10 civics up whole along with 8mpg in that monster!!!
heres a rough sketch of the box i was ranting on. maybe the tuning was higher but I felt more than i heard. Now that Ive seen it, I want to build a similar one. Next time I get somone with 3 subs, im gonna hook them up with one of these monsters.

its more like 4 mpg, and it wont even cough at those civics.......
wow never seen that box design before, i would be concerned with the center sub not reacting like the other two, they do share the same sealed air space, i wonder if you would have to drive that sub with a differnt amp, or all three with there own power.
again anyone out there with a box program???????

Well, I'm assuming they are separate chambers, although I didnt get to see. The center sub looked to port equally to both sides and then there were the two ports of equal diameter facing up, so I think it would just distribute pressure to either outer side equally, im sure its more for looks than sound, I wish I would have gotten pics.
Why do you need a box program? what are you trying to build? With a little common sense and a few formulas you should be able to formulate every aspect of a box in a few minutes without a need for a program.

the box i wish to build would share the front of all 4 drivers sealed, and the rear of the subs would share a ported chamber thru the rear deck
i am just tring to get some air space figures.
Alpine tech told me to just put them in a .6 cubic foot sealed box each. or 1.7 cubic foot ported box with 23" port and a 3 x 11 square port
the seal box seams right but the ported box is just crazy in size.
any suggestions?
For past box building i would try a .5 cubic foot per sub sealed chamber - 4 x .5=2. plus woofer displacement
the ported chamber .75 x 4 = 3 plus port dispacement - probably a 6 x 15 - 12" long
i will dive each woofer with a alpine MRD-M1005 each - connect with the amplifier link...

sharing the sealed and the ported chamber with four subs will not only offer you the most crappy sound ever, but it will reduce the output and make it sound mushy. Alpine support < common sense just design the box yourself or pay me $5 and ill draw you schematics
