Id prefer a N/A but if its not and you got one for sell thats kool too. It must be a hardtop though, its to hot IMO to be a convertable. Besides i dont want it broken in too.

No i relize hard tops can be broken in to. But id like for them to require more then just a sharp object to be able to get into my car. Ive had 2 friends have there convertables broken in to. 1 was a jeep wrangler and i dont remmber what the other was. All they did was cut out the window.

Why do you say that about the A/C thing? Are most people taking there A/C's out or something?

The verts are heavy anyway. Lightest models don't even have sunroofs.

As for the AC working, its just rare to find any car this age with working ac. I got lucky with mine ;)

Im more worried about the A/C actully being in the car. Geting the A/C fixed isnt a problem (my dad does A/C work for a living). But 2 of the cars like i said, didnt even have the A/C unit in the car, which leaves huge problems since stuff tends to go in to the holes and areas where the a/c was hooked up too if they did a crappy job of uninstalling it.

Yes its hard to find any first and second gen with working a/c.
My FC a/c worked for about 30mins.. I couldnt belive it..

Does your dad do automotive a/c or residentual.. theres a big difrence.. and if he does automotive a/c that would be good for you,I would convert it over to 134a anyways..
If I see anything I would let you know..

Thank you, he does residental but he has a lisence to get the freon for it. ( im assuming your talking about the one that you cant get without a lisence)

That was the first thing he told me. Since i almost got one without a A/C and i was going to go get one. Was that it would be hard for anyone to get the freon for it b/c its not inuse anymore and you have to be certified to have it.

verts are only 80lbs heavier than a TII coupe, My car weighs 3128 with the full TII swap, rear end etc., I wish it was lighter but there really isnt anything better then seeing a vert drifting on someones face. I have plenty of working a/c compressors if you'd need one.

ive never personally owned a convertable. and never been in one with the hood up. Arnt they more noiser then hard tops? dont they get hotter on the inside as well?

Edit on the request.

It must be standard transmission. no automatic's. Im sure that was probally a given but never hurts to add it.

Well price, lbs for lbs of R12 to 134A,is outragous,If you have to do any major a/c work like change a compressor, then migth as well do it all and change it over to 134,You can walk into a store and buy 134a,R12 is the one you need to show papers for

I can break into any RX-7 in under a min. I believe any1 on this Mazda forum who owns an RX-7 can do the same.... It's one of the most easiest cars to break into.
