Yes I forgot but how much polyfil do you need per cu/ft in a sealed enclosure? I am going to seal up the Mag because I really want more tight/sq bass and not so much boomy/loud
Also, I want speakers that will bring out the mid bass/vocals a lot better than my infinity reference 6x8's. They sound good but are really high and play the tweets like crazy and have no midbass what so ever. I only have a 2 chan 400 watt amp so maybe I can replace the 6x8's with some decent brand speakers? Wat do you guys suggest?

polyfil will add to the boomyness, if you want tighter bass then decrease the volume of your enclosure with wood or something else that doesnt compress.
Infinity referenec speakers have some of best mids for speakers in their class, before you change speakers, try sealing an enclosure behind the 6x8s. beyond that I would mess with an eq.

everything i read on polyfill tells me to play around with the amount untill i get the sound i want, but that doesnt help when you want to seal the box off. but polyfill makes the sub sound like the box is bigger, so you will have deeper looser bass.
if you want some GOOD midbass you can get the new kicker midbass drivers, but those are designed for midbass only so unless you plan on adding those along with your mids/highs it may not be worth it, unless you want to put some horns in. other then that 6x8s or 6x9s are usually your best bet they will definitely handle bass better then anything smaller, just look at the frequency range, the lower the first number the better the bass response will be. 10" subs are usually around 18Hz, so for midbass id look for 30-40Hz, some kenwoods are around 28hz, you can find audiobahns ar 25-30hz,seen sonys run at 25hz, and pioneer is always for a low 30s frequency.
Infinity Ref are around 49Hz for the 6x8s 45Hz for 6x9s,if you want i can scan my crutchfield catalog page with the comparison chart so you can get an idea of what speakers to look for.
you may just need some good eq/crossover settings, to pump them out.for 6x8s id cut off frequency under 40, the rolloff should still give you the 30hz range if it handles it,if not its just dead power. i would prolly boost anywhere between 40-60hz 80 or 90.
