that sub looks like it was made of aluminum foil :p How about a nice Alpine Type-S sws-1242 for $90 ? I think you will be much more happy with that.

oh and I have a brand new amp you can get off me cheap too.

for the sub you're looking at you would want an amp that will pump 200W RMS 400W Max if you're only planing on running one. 400W RMS/800W Max if you're getting two. dont have to supply full power tho you can go lower prolly 150W RMS per sub, and still sound pretty hard/clean. but you need to find out how many ohms that sub runs at to match it with the amp. and if its single or dual voice coil. when you have that go to http://www.cardomain.com/shop/subwoofers and scroll down on the right you will see subwoofer wiring guide, you'll get a pop up that asks for number of subs and impedance. that will tell you if you should run mono or multi-channel amp and what ohm amp to get.

but yea i can get you some Audiobahn Dub100s for less then that and specs are a lil nicer. 400watt max would mean you're only getting 200W rms. still a 10"

300watt RMS/ 600w max
18hz-500hz
93.9 db
dual 4ohm voice coil
2ohm and 8ohm operational

$60 each
$110 for the pair
I have two that are BRAND NEW, still in box, with 1 year warranty just sitting around. have a car audio business, the person i ordered these for never paid so im getting rid of them.

and if your not afraid to try something new and want a complete system that pounds CHEAP. check out http://dieselaudio.com/.
two NSX12 12" woofers and one NSH800 2 channel amp AMP, 5 year full exchange warranty for $250

rms of a sub is not always half the max...type r's are 1000 max but only 300 rms. and there are TONS of others like that

there is no set standard for rated power handling, the lower the RMS rating, generally the higher the s/n ratio - hence better(not louder) sound Higher RMS rating simply allow for further excursion of the voice coil, that rating alone means nothing to anything.

the 01 series mtx 4500 12" subwoofers were like 45w rms and still hit clean, your RMS rating is honestly a dream, no one actually runs at RMS most of hte time, if they did not only would their cars cease to run within weeks, but they wouldnt be able to hear.
