I know this is a Honda forum but I need every idea (I'm Russell's roomate). Anyway I got a flat on my 2001 Lexus IS 300 and I messed up my wheel lock key trying to take the wheel lock off because the lock and the lugs were the tightest I've ever tried to loosen. Lexus told me they cant sell me anything, they told me I can only have it towed down there and they will use there master key to get it off, I live in Tampa but the car is way in Land O Lakes so I cant afford the towing. The other thing they told me was to call a number on a special card in my car and that company will send me a new wheel lock key but I'm missing that card. I've already tried a pipe wrench, channel locks, vise grips with no luck I would put fix a flat in the tire to get it home or to Lexus but the tire and rim are slightly not lined up anymore so that wouldn't work. I'm thinking about trying a gator grip but the wheel lock is perfectly smooth around but I was thinking about roughing it up so the gator grip would have something to bite. Only other thing I can think of is hammer and a chiesel but someting to remember this bitch is super tight and I'm a strong mofo and I couldn't get it even before I messed up the wheel lock. The other thing was to hammer the the key on but I think the metal on the key is to out of whack to get the key beat on right. Thanks

if the lexus dealier says there is a card you can call them have them give you the number. they have proof that your the owner so tell them you need a replacement or whatever. also try the hammer thing but dont whack the shit out of it. just tap it on. also if those dont work just ask them if there is any thing else you can do or if they can have it towed or somethin like that i mean hell there lexus they have to have some roadside help thing. good luck bro

Never a better time to get AAA Plus.

Other than that, there is the option of breaking the stud.. however thats kind of ghetto for a 2001 lexus... And expensive.

They told me they couldn't give me the number on the card but I figure there has to be some way to get it. Thanks

got aaa, but the tire was off the wheel. putting it on a tow truck would have done more damage.
