That color is pretty nice, and looks even better with the black hood.
The article really makes it sound like tuning a 240 is ho-hum, but it sorta is, so it sounds like they hit the nail on the head, no?

But actually BUILDING one and doing the prep/paint is another.

That's kinda what I meant - tuning it to a higher performance level from stock. The article was kinda like "of course, they put in an SR, and they were pretty much obligated to go suspension, etc", as if the writer of the article had seen so many that if he sees another one he will shoot himself... Maybe I'm reading too much into it, or ust applying my own attitude towards 240s :dunno:
seen that car in person.. VERY nice....
19x9.5 all around is how I'm going.... Don't like the front bumper but to each their own

Hahaha
No I completely agree with you. I don't know how those magazine writers do it.
Day in and day out, they see the same cars, with the same mods, over and over and over again.
I couldn't do it.
And you can tell they run out of things to say. It's kinda like if you read one article, you've read them all. I think every article is rather cheesy.
That's why I just look at the pictures :)

i know this may sound like a trivial question, but does his gas tank door on the right rear fender sit flush with the fender? the reason i ask is b/c the only photo taken of that fender is in the original "pretty in pink" thread, and the lighting seems to cause a funny glare that makes the gas cover look crooked or something. in addition to that, it seems that many people who use over fenders end up leaving the gas tank door alone so that it is recessed and not flush with the fender. example: http://www.tunerzine.com/articles/2005/featuredcar/issue10/s145/article.html
there is a simple fix for that, right?
TIA,
eric
PS - forgot to introduce myself. My name is Eric, and i'm obviously new here. I live in Orlando right next to UCF, and so i've seen this pink sil1580 twice now rolling around town. i must say it is my inspiration for starting in on my own project car. while it may not be a Ferrari, it certainly is as good looking, and probably turns just as many heads. and you see more ferraris than strawberry faces anyways, which makes it one of the rarest cars around here. anyways i just wanted to say hi to everyone...

Yuck, not a fan of S15 front ends on an S13 hatch. Looks tacky as hell.
I'd much rather see a nice clean hatch with a complete hipposleek body kit than a total front-end conversion from a vehicle 10 years newer.
