well i knew it was just a matter of time...didnt expect it to do what it did.
anywho, im at a foreign track, i warm the tires up, getting ready to run a older 2nd gen TA. he purges and we line up finally. we watch for the 3rd flash as the flagger has marked off the track and was waiting on us, 3rd one comes and we are gone, he stuck close by suprisingly, hit 2nd and he is right there still but i begin to slowly tug away. hit 3rd and slowly get a little more, 4th brings the same, and i am about a full car out now, fuddle it into 5th and he begins to gain some ground (odd pattern for me to do, rarely go to 5th with effort) and we go past the flagger with him making a run back on me but me still being about a fender out.
he wants a 2nd run, figures it may be closer, guessing he upped the jetting. well, i do my burnout again, as does he. flagger is in position and gives us our 3 flashes, and i side step the clutch off the limiter yet again. i get maybe 20ft out and have a loud thud and just a weird, scary noise. car no longer accels and i mash the brakes and get off the road.
LT1 power plant = 6
2nd gen = 1 (i guess...)
driveshaft = -1
pushrods = -4

yea...shitty LT1's...cause you know...its the engine code that makes all the difference...i mean shit, you get some ported LS1 and LT1 heads that flow the identical numbers on a bench with manifolds, identical cams in both, identical exhausts, you know the LT1 would make more power. but ya, all the actual stuff that makes power is irrelevant...its all in the engine code....thats why the B18C5-Rdet is teh roxor!.
