View Full Version : 3G Eclipse SuperCharged follow up
After 2 months of dicking around, shredding belts, and tracing wires. The entire problem of getting into boost is/was the piggyback computer being bad. Thought the belt was slipping so I tightened it a little, broke that and it took out all the other belts (timing belt included). Also thought it was fuel (which that kinda what it is) so I rewired all 6 injector harness... that did shit. When I send the piggyback ecu in to get a reflash thinking that was it, they came back saying the damn thing is fryed in a way it doesnt add voltage to comp for the boost. Hence no boost.

Is this s/c eclipse a automatic.
I saw a automatic one at the track ahwile ago.
ECU and other goodies came in today, so I'll run tonight with the stock belt tonight making sure the timing is on and the crank sensor isnt busted from the sepentin belt rapping around the crank sprocket.
Then Tomorrow will install the longer belt to see if it works then go tear it up.

well here is some bad news. did a compression test since it wasnt turning over and the start sounded funny. cyl #1.... nada :cry: (http://misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=23#) :cry: . guessing bent valves since my timing belt was jucied up and i couldnt get enough boost to fry the pistons or the rings.
are you running ripps black box or the gray box? or have you switched to the emanage

bro u need to talk to my buddy Ryu who had that set up and redid the entire setup
Ripp Ripps you off so bad it not funny like the water meth 500 for a pump and line and a little box total value 80$ tellin you they ripped u off
butt if u want to try somethin diff buy my buddys piping and get an emanage ditch that pippy back shat (5000 milebreak in period plz) u want some real numbers ill get his dyno sheet for you

That dyno was at 6.5psi on a sporty GT after 4 hours on the dyno whlie learning the e-manage program. If we did a cool run the tuner said it would have been about 275whp instead of 265whp. Ive now since went with a turbo setup just to try something different but ive kept the frontmount due to nearly identical piping design. Just for comparison my 1/4 mile time at 6.5psi was 14.22. At 10psi with the frontmount it was a 13.87 with a fiew minor tuning issues.
Thanks ryu... I am now selling the s/c in the next week and going turbo. i want to remove the chance of the damn belt taking out my timing belt again. car is going to M&F Racing soon to get rebuilt. Then a Turbo install.
