Default Caliper Paint: Yay or Nay

So next week I'll be doing a brake job on the Focus. Whenever I do a brake job on a car for the first time, I usually take the time to give the caliper a nice coat of black engine enamel. Looks much cleaner than the raw metal stained w/brake dust.

So now I have the SVT. I'm thinking of perhaps following along the lines of what SVT did for the Cobra and painting a portion of the caliper red (caliper red w/the mounting brackets black). I know I know...if Ford wanted it red, they would have done so in the first place. Part of me thinks it would look pretty neat to have a red caliper compliment the red car. The other part of me kicks my own ass for having what may be considered "ricer tendencies". What are your thoughts?

I just painted my PBR calipers black with the Caliper and drum paint from Advance, then put a nice coat of clear on it, and they look great.

I'm a big fan of those calipers on your car.

Pretty much made up my mind prior to the thread that I'm going to go with red. I actually created this thread to see what kind of reaction I'd get. I've met quite a few people who talked trash about red calipers on Imports, yet have no problem with red calipers on a Mustang. Always found that interesting.
