SEEKING MALE ACTORS (any ethnicity)
Feature Film
Distributed by Universal Pictures
Directed by Justin Lin (“Better Luck Tomorrow”)
Produced By Neal Moritz (The Fast and Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, xXx, S.W.A.T.)
and Amanda Cohen
written by Chris Morgan and Kario Salem
To Begin Filming in Tokyo and LA on September 12, 2005
Finn Hiller Casting (Crash, Coach Carter) is seeking male actors of any ethnicity for the lead in the Universal Pictures feature film, “Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo.” The film is about an obsessive street racer named SHAUN who is exiled to Tokyo after annoying the local police once too often.
SHAUN is treated like an outsider and mocked for being a gai-jin, He is drawn to the subculture of drift racing, a dangerous and sometimes deadly sport that he masters with startling speed. In the process, Shaun makes a deadly enemy and meets the love of his life, Tani.
TANI is a stunning Japanese girl who attends the same school as Shaun in Tokyo. When they interact at first, she dismisses him until she realizes that he is an obsessive street racer as well. Chaos arises when Shaun finds out that she is in fact D.K.’s girlfriend (the “Drift King” of Tokyo). Shaun enrages D.K. by challenging him to a drift race, while at the same time forming a friendship with Tani, which eventually evolves into a forbidden romance.
REEVISE (A.K.A TWINKIE) is a fellow classmate of Shaun, who is the first to befriend him in Tokyo. He too is car-crazy and drives a Nissan S15 Silvia. Initially Shaun is rude to Reevise, claiming “he doesn’t need friends”, but soon they develop a friendship as Reevise tutors Shaun on Japanese culture as well drift racing.
oh boy....can't wait! :jerkoff:

I wonder if they know how much most drifters hate what they are doing? I mean, I'm sure it wouldn't change their minds because of all the $$ involved. But, I just wonder if they know. From the description it sounds like drifting is gonna get all gang realted and have a bad image just like drag racing. One thing I know is that if I go to see the movie I'm driving my wife's car ;-)

More like one more year until drifting is put into the same category as street racing.

Cool, the price of my 240 will skyrocket haha. Sure everyone knew it was going to happen, it was just a matter of time. And of course something will happen when a new law will be passed where as if you drift you can get your car impounded or some bs like that....

1. the price of our cars is going to sky rocket as it will also become more stolen.
2. Evan (funk) should try out for the part of Tani. lol.
3. this movie sucks ass, is bad enough with the amount of people you have drifting on the street giving us a bad wrap.

Hell yeah I'm going to see it. I'm interested to see how good the drivers are in the movie. And I want to see how they portray Japan and the people there. Since I have been to Japan many times, it should give me some good laughs. From what the casting call said, there should be some hot kogal types in there too :-D Oh and, I'm going to go out and drift after the movie in my mom's Jetta. I just hope I don't lose my lerners permit, or get grounded. hahahaha

BTW: I was at Mobara Twin Circuit for a drift comp and they were watching the first movie in the cafe. Japanese people actually think that America is like what was in the movie. Because it is so different from what they are used to, alot of drifters and hashiriya type people like it. The name of the movie in Japan is "Wild Speed" hahahha

Lets keep charlie parts car, that thing will probably sell for 2k even when its missing everything including a rear quarter body panel. I think i need to buy another KADE while they are still cheap and plenty, just in case mines break down.

Basically everything you listed has been done already.
I haven't seen any 'POPULAR' mustang or chebby mags feature drifting on the cover (although they may have in the last month or 2)
I haven't seen tyrese on the cover of DUB with a Drift Car on 20's, although he was spotted at a Formula D event (probably looking at acting in F&F3)
and the 1976 Camaro? Okay...Ryan HAmpton's driving a 1969 Camaro...but he doesn't have a mullet.
And finally...Mcdonalds....who are they sponsoring???
Like I said, Drifting is not a household name....yet.

trust me, when little kids see my car, and think its cool, something is wrong.

Little Kids DOES NOT = MAinstream.
When a person eligible for AARP asks me what this 'drifitng' thing is....than it's mainstream.
Tim...stop hanging around the little kids....I thought you had to stay at least 500 ft away from them at all times ;)

you also have a floridadrift decal, and i <3 drifting, that will elicit questions by itself.
and about the kids thing.
dude, at work, i park my car next to the window i work near, and some younger kid, maybe 10 could not stop starring at my car, not sure if he thought it was cool, or was just thinking "wow, i use this same car in gt4, but this one suckkkksss."
either way, he knew what was up, and knew about the car.
if theres video games centered or featuring it, rest assured, its all over.

I was at McDonalds months ago when this kid came up to me(16/17) was AMAZED at my car, like about to bust a nut right there....I was confused...I asked him if he was sure what he was looking at, he said he loved the look(the look being primered with about 7 different colors). He asked if I drifted it, I said I didnt because I didnt have enough power  I had an sr at the time, side mounthotness, so he didnt even see the big ass hole in the side of the bumper...

Normal mullet hatred of all things Japanese will prevent drifting from going mainstream. "don't forget that they bombed us!" derka der. The last time you explained drifting to a mullet there was a 50% chance you compared it to the World of Outlaws, but with right turns. There's a 100% that said mullet immediately looked confused.
train of thought going... must create grey primered mustang drift car.... must call it Enola Gay... that would be the bomb!
