Battle of the Srt-4's...In Tampa ONLY [Archive]

Well,since there is bickering about who's the fastest,who's the slowest..Only way to settle it would be to meet up at the track.Who would be interested?I'll set guidelines and such below.A date will be set after i know people will show.

There will be a "stock" class..no bolt ons,100% stock,must pop the hood.

There will be a "bolt on" class..Wga's,Exhuasts,Stg1/2,fmic..etc etc,NO nitrous..must pop hood,yet again(no Stg3's here)

There will be a "Upgraded Turbo or Nitrous" class...All upgrades imaginable..Poping the hood,not necessary here :-)

Or if thats to much to go by,pick whoever ya wanna run :-) :lol:

Also YOU MUST BE IN THE HILLSBORUGH/PINELLAS DISTRICT!!

+1 for the bolt on class here, assuming I can make it (with work and all) Maybe after an event like this we can set up a weekly or monthly SRT hangout as long as we'll have all Tampa SRT's in one place. Hopefully I get a few more of my parts on before the event :evilgrin:

Got a few nice kills yesterday afternoon...

Stock 2000+ Corvette ZO6 4 times from a roll on 4th and Gandy. Pulled him from 3rd gear rolls each time. Afterwards, he told me I have to have twin turbos. I told him no, that I had a single. He said, "God damn man! That's nice!" and gave me a thumbs up. Nice guy!

2nd race was against a "newer" modified BMW M3. It wasn't like old, but it wasn't brand new either. Definately somewhere in the late '90s early '00s. Anyways, was next to a Maxima and he heard me blow off, then yelled to the M3 guy, man that sounds nice. So the next light we pulled up to the Maxima let me get in front to race the M3. He nodded and started revving. Light turned green, we both stood still spinning, lol. Damn shitty roads, lol! Anyways, I finally grabbed and just ran away. He caught up and said "Nice run man" threw me a peace sign and was on his way...

All in all, I was happy. Car is running strong again. Dan and I changed my plugs from the Iridium IX's back to Mopar Champion plugs, and I feel made a world of difference. No more sputtering under heavy boost! Yeah! :)

I raced a Z06 in my car, and he beat me by like 3 or 4 cars. I'm pretty much stock. With a few more mods I think I could beat a Z06 as well.

I swear on my life. I don't lie or BS like a lot of people do man! No shit, the light on 4th and Gandy towards the Howard Franklin twice, and then the U-Turn back towards Gandy we did it 2 more times. He even stopped me and said I have to have twins, and I said nope... single. He was in aww, and told me it was nice...

But yea man, stock turbo, no bottle. Like I said, it was atleast a 2000 ZO6, probably a little newer than that though. Red in color, and totally stock he told me...

Oh yea, I have not been to the track since I somewhat "tuned" my car with the SAFC-II. It's amazing what a little tuning can do for a car, lol. The sad thing is I pulled mid 13's on stock exhaust, stock turbo, and minor bolt-ons. I'd love to see what I'm running now with the SAFC-II "semi-tuned" with stock turbo and stock exhaust. Remember my goal, fastest stock turbo in Tampa Bay, lol! One of these days! :-P

You did not Beat a Z06 with bolt-ons ... Sorry , it just wont happen . A stock Z06 with a good driver can dip into the 11's ...

Your SRT with bolt-ons might go high 12's ...

BTW , I think mike would be fastest stock turbo with bolt-ons at this point .

He's lighter than everyone else and has his car pretty well tuned off the bottle .

a stock zo6 traps 114-117 the fastest stock turbo no bottle srt in the u.s only traps 113 so either the guy could not drive or his car is running on three cylinders

Ok, I edited my comment, that was supposed to be a joke, and it WAS a ZO6. I couldn't help but notice the big badge on it that said "ZO6"...

Some people just don't wanna believe shit sometimes, I had a quick run w/ a yellow Z06 down Bruce B Downs...I lost but it was somewhat close, guy gave me a thumbs up really cool. It doesn't matter what anybody else says, you know whether or not you beat him, these people go by Car and Driver or Road and Track articles they don't realize sometimes people just don't know how to drive their cars. This is the same reason why there are vidoes of damn RSX's and 240's beating SRT's, some SRT owners can't drive (and some RSX's are turbo). Just my .02
